Today's dirt

I'm pretty busy today, I have to clean my car out. Lissa says it's hard to find her seat belt.

I know I should make time to clean the bathroom too, but, it's not that bad. At least there's no clutter.

And I'm almost caught up on piled up Winter laundry. Just a couple more loads should do it. I washed bedding yesterday and we had a March wind like a hurricane, so it all dried in like, 30 minutes. Lissa was late for school for the first time ever (here) because I forgot she was here and went back to sleep. I was supposed to be kid-less this week.  Her mom had her this weekend and was going to keep her for the school week too, but, she brought her back. I was in no kid mode. And in my defence, the kid picked up all her messes before she went to bed without being asked, so when I woke up and saw a spotless house..well, my brain just thought I was alone. She was only 10 minutes late, but, she didn't get breakfast. I tried to foist off some snack cake in the car, but, she told me it was gross because it wasn't chocolate.

She got a new tablet, an Android thing, from her dad and his fiance, so I've been instructed to download games for her all day. I guess I'd better get on that. She told me she doesn't have time to wait for all those downloads, because she has a life. That just about sums it up. I'd better get on it. Oh, and I cleaned out seed trays and refilled them, it was 80 degrees yesterday! It's cold as a mofo today though. But, I'm planting indoors. Tobacco and Punkins'. What are you doing?

Ehh, forget it. This is more like it.

I have seen vehicles like that one around. The only place to sit, is the drivers seat. Period. And it's funny how somebody obviously, is actually using that horrible, disease ridden bathroom! haha! It must have been in a flood? Or had a bad overhead leak for ages and nobody knew? Cuz whats with all that mold? Eww! Bleach please...lots of bleach. And thats likely all ruined, that cannot be cleaned, not all of it. Gawd, my lungs ache from here!

I was thinking bleach too. I've cleaned up worse in rental houses. I DO need to clean my car. The back floor is full of books and candy wrappers from my after school wait. And mom put her bird feeder next to where I Winter park. So the whole drivers side is covered with big bird shit. It's gross because we have hawks feeding there. They poop huge brown nasty stuff all over my doors.

ps..I'd take that bathroom. Minus the grease, it looks better than mine. Mine has exposed pipes and no tub.

Oh gawd. You DO NOT need to be breathing in bird poop! My favorite large birds are coming around now, the big, gorgeous crows. My absolute favorite birdies are the Cardinal couples we always have in our woods. precious.

Why? Is bird poo like guano or something? I don't think I breathe it, I just get in the car. It's soooo gross though, from those big birds. Now that it's warmer, I can park in the other drive way. I love the Cardinals too, they're pretty. But, my favorite of all, are the Sparrows. I just LOVE the chubby little Sparrows. They're real pets here.

For those of you who may not know, I patterned my cleaning and parenting skills off of Peg Bundy!

All the people I share my house with have started university courses this year so I am the sole 'house person'. So this week I put up a towel rail, learnt how to use an electric jigsaw and cut out and mounted some shelves and am plastering a wall. I've decided I love being a handy woman but hate, really hate plastering, all that dust, and my hands feel really dry. Next I plan to re-tile the bathroom and plumb in a new toilet! I am also trying to fix an ingrown toenail. Advice on ingrown toenails muchly appreciated!

Lia!
Google Curvecorrect.
I've had one on each big toe foe two weeks and I'm pain free! Mine were super bad, too! They are straightening out and my nail bed is actually widening to accommodate this! I'm so freaking excited about my toes! I've been in pain for a long time, have tried everything, witnessed my mom's ingrown toenail surgery while she was still here years ago---NO! Just no. They don't have enough people on staff to hold me down and give shots into my toes. Nope.
Try it, Lia. You won't be sorry.

Yes. Bird poop is what spreads legionaries disease. Because, it was 1st discovered from a convention of American Lahion members who met at a hotel or a building out of town and they all got it. It's deadly. The roof top heating/AC units were cluster F's with pigeons and their poop. It was blowing thru the air ever time the vents were blowing air out. So, don't be breathing it. Ever. It will F up your lungs.

Legionaries disease?!! Well, there's a goal to strive for. It's the one disease I don't have in my collection.

I am on the last leg of round 5 of antibiotics, and am sick to death of the bitter taste in my mouth, the low-grade fever, and feeling tired.
The chickens are laying lots of eggs, and it amazes me every day how good our dog, Harley, is with them. He never does anything to upset them in any way.
I am struggling with how to get all my online education done at work. I am lead nurse almost every day I work, and it is impossible for me to be freed up to do this stuff. The deadline was 4/1, and the Baby Friendly training takes anywhere from 22 to 28 hours to complete, in addition to the 4 hour class, and the hands-on time with the consultant. They do not allow us to do any of this at home, and we can not have any overtime on our schedules to complete it. Yesterday I got an email from one of the managers, telling me she is "concerned about me" because I have not completed the training. (I am not the only one.) I have spent 13 1/2 hours working on it so far, and the program lists me at 41% completed. I am so frustrated with this, and with the idea that the managers know the difficulties completing this, but have not made any other provisions. I absolutely try my best to do everything, but really am at a loss.
In other news, I went nuts shoe shopping, and fixed stew in the crock pot tonight. That about covers it.
