All of that is baloney. I'm a huge fan of Kidman, but, I don't buy that she 'picks battles' with those oldest two. Tom took those kids away from her and I doubt they even call her mom. (Didn't Katie Holmes confirm that years ago?) I doubt she has any interaction with them other than the occasional phone call and maybe, maybe a short holiday visit. She probably doesn't even get that or we would have seen it in the press. Tom and his army of lunatic Scientologists cut Nicole out of those children's lives long ago. I'm sure it hurts and she'll never get over it. I'm also sure she's still afraid to tell the truth. She's kept Tom's secrets for so long. Those goddamn Scientology goons are no joke. I'm also sure Katie Holmes was well aware of what Nicole went through with that little creep and it had a lot to do with how she made her escape and got to take her kid with her.
ZI feel bad for Nicole, but, yeah, it IS different this time. This time you have biological kids, even if a surrogate was involved with one, but, she also isn't married to fuck face Tom Cruise and his lunatic cult anymore. If she and Urban ever split up, she'd still have kids. All this shit has to have wrecked her in some way. You know it did. No one could go through that and be completely normal. And I will always wonder what Tom had on Nicole, that she allowed him to take her children. Because you know that's how that cult works. It had to be devastating. I'm glad she's happy now with her new life, but, I sort of wonder if it wouldn't be better if she just stopped talking about Isabella and Conner. We all know they're gone. They're old enough now to do whatever they want. But, you never see them with Nicole. Because they're brainwashed Scios and that's that.
Letting go of your children has to be the hardest thing in the world, but, sometimes people have to. I guess you'd just keep the photos and the memories and tuck them away for personal viewing and not talk about them any more. Because when your child is a Scientologist and you aren't, they aren't yours anymore. Heart wrenching as that is, it's the truth.

Maybe that's part of how she deals with it, is to just keep them as her children, in her heart. What I mean to say, is that a part of her (maybe a very small part)is in denial. On some level she still thinks of herself as their mom.
I'm sure her divorce, and subsequent shunning by the Scio community were heartbreaking for her. Her experiences and the aftermath probably helped Katie Holmes, but there probably wasn't too much that could be done for Nicole, as she most likely didn't plan for a possible divorce.
I don't think that she gets how it sounds to other people when she talks about Connor and Isabella, either.

Tom probably didn't have anything on Nic. She probably got the deal in exchange for her freedom. She knew he would raise those kids the way he wanted to, because he had paid for them. And they were HIS. His little legacy in his temple to Ron. And she wanted to get the F out. And no doubt it was exhausting being followed all the time, monitored on the phone, shopping, with friends. And all that monitoring was obviously to make sure she never spilled her guys about his gay secret life. Remember we found out Katie lived in a whole different wing of their mansion? He had his own entrance and so did she. He may have slept with her till she got pregnant. Then he was done with that. Nicole was very obviously not infertile. Tom doesn't like vag. End of story. Getting your freedom from that would cost you. He needs to marry Lorie Prepon, from That 70's Show. She's already in the cult and they might be dating. He needs a new beard. Another redhead? Lol. Gag me. Nicole is just fine. She probably sends gifts for bdays and holidays, cards etc. but they probably only call her to thank her for them. If they wanted to live with her, they are old enough to leave home now. But they don't. I think the girl has psychological problems. She is NoT Toms favorite. Neither is Suri. It's his son. He dotes on him. Helps him with his acting career. Where is the girl? Slaving away for the cult, living away from home. Hidden away.
Christina, I think you're right. He left and divorced her, not the other way around. She never saw it coming. She was preg at the time too, but, lost the baby. Probably from stress. Tom is heartless and listens to his scio handlers.
Rox, yeah, I remember all that weird shit. I think he tried to have a normal life with Nicole and failed. I think Katie knew what was up from day one. It was an arrangement. But, she got tired of that bizarre life. I still think Conner resembles Tom in an uncanny way. It might explain things.
I believe the stories re: Ewan McGregor and Kidman. Cruise left her because she was pregnant because the little shit is sterile. Kidman and McGregor had way too much chemistry on screen in Moulin Rouge for there not to have been something between them, and lets face it are either of them the kind of actors who could emote convincing sexual attraction? Is Kidman? She couldn't do it in Eyes Wide Shut as I recall. No woman Cruise has ever been with ever got pregnant except for Katie Holmes and I don't know what kind of money he paid to beget Suri but if she's his she didn't come about in the conventional way children are conceived. There are still some who think he isn't the biological father. I think that's a definite possibility.
I think it's pure evil to have separated Kidman from her children with Cruise the way he and his cult have done. I agree that she will have been changed/damaged permanently by this. Taking Scientology out of the equation, this will have damaged the children too but they are a lost cause anyway.
Yes it's possible that Katie got away fron Tom and Scientologie with Suri is because she could expose the fact that Suri wasn't Toms bio kid. I think the only thing Tom had over Nichole is the kids, and she is still putting out to them whenever she does an interview about mothering. It's her way of letting them know that she still loves them and considers herself as being their mother. What else can she do? She's up against Scientology.
