Today..goin's on in Guntown

The cops got called to mom's house today, because old Aunt Bitch Face pitched a fit and ran away on her walker, to her sister's house. That would be my mom. She said her care takers, (my cousin Bruce and his GF Shauna) were bossy and talking about putting her old mean ass in a home.

There's a cop talking to Bitch Face and making her promise to not run away again. When I walked in the cop said, "Hi Pat, how are you." It's not good when the cops know you by name. Not around here. Anyway, Bitch Face bitched until she was blue in the face and the cops released her to home custody again. She's herself sometimes (bitch) and sometimes she loses it and becomes crazier than a rabid coon. She shits herself and won't buy diapers. Seriously. She sits on newspapers and sticks newspapers in her pants because they're free. She has money, she's just that cheap. Shauna and Bruce bathe her and wipe her mean old ass and she won't listen to them when they tell her what to do. Like, take your meds or let's have a bath now. She thinks she's still top dog and the old bitch is shitting on newspapers. She's nuts.
There's old Bitch Face after the cops left, she's going home. But, Shauna had to lift her out of the chair and Shauna had to open the door. This old bitch has no idea how bad off she is. If anyone says 'nursing home' she gets enraged and she's holding the house deed over their heads to control them. I told them I wouldn't wipe either of the bitch sister's ass's for a crummy Guntown house, ever. They're both evil, but, this one here is the Head Evil. She can go fuck herself.
Shauna and my mom trying to talk some sense into Bitch Face. It aint gonna happen. Go home, Bitch Face, I don't want your icky energy here. I have no idea how you lived for nearly 90 years. It's not right.

That's Guntown today..how are you doing?

I feel really bad for laughing at this story. These crazies keep your life exciting, although I'm sure you'd be fine to live without it.

I laugh here a lot. I laughed today. BF just got caught running away again! She sat right there and lied to that cop. They caught her at the corner. They need a new door lock that she can't reach. Old Bitch is going to get hit by a feed truck or Harley.

Lmao!

At least she still knows where she's going. I so hope I don't get that way. I know people who have stuck relatives in nursing homes even tho they didn't want to go, and they did fine after a month or so. The problem is, BF is ruining the lives of her caretakers. They are important too.

I am horrified at the idea of that woman shitting in newspaper...I hope to hell those caretakers are making sure they are protected in some way...it sounds like maybe they'll get the house after it's all said and done? Not sure that would be enough in this case.

She's got dementia, or Altzheimers, for sure. My mum had it, same behavior. In the end, because my mum and my brother refused to let me sign the papers to get her into a nursing home (where she belonged), the State intervened. I told the authorities that the only way to force her into a home was to intervene. She and my brother would have had to go to court to prove she was ok to live independently. They didn't have a hope and I was free at last. Although it broke me up to have her locked away in a dementia ward, what a fucking relief!!! When it comes to a stage where they can't shit independently, the game is over, in my books, for all of us. I stopped visiting my mother altogether in the last year of her life, she didnt even know who i was, the nursing staff had become her family. Her last words to me were 93 (go figure). Enough was enough, and it was good to get what was left of my life back. I fully endorse my son doing the same with me if it comes to that. I'm hoping I will have the strength and temerity to head for the street nearby where drugs are sold to buy what is needed go out on a heroin high. But I guess we are all destined to end up like our mothers. A scary prospect!

On the other hand... poor buggers, it must be hard saying goodbye to your life. :-( I hope I'm brave about it.

I feel badly about laughing at this, too. (I feel better that I am not the only one laughing, though.)
The idea of her running away with her walker cracks me up. (I know it's dangerous, but this IS Bitch Face we are talking about, here.)
Have they looked into nursing home costs? They are damned expensive. When my mom was in skilled care, her insurance and medicare took care of it, but when the 90 days of skilled were up, we had to make other arrangements. We looked into moving her into one of their regular nursing home beds, and the cost for a semi-private room, that was very small, was around $8,000 per month. You had to have a reason to stay in that level of care, or insurance would not pay for any of it. My mom went to Adult Foster Care, which is not perfect, and it was completely out of her pocket, but was a bargain at about $3,400 per month, until she became hospice, which was around $600 more per month, despite the fact that medicare kicked in with a range of personnel from a local agency (so there was no cost for that, only an increased fee to the facility for actually doing less for her. It seemed mean spirited, and small of them to do that. She had hospice CNA's to bathe her, a hospice nurse to manage her care with the hospice doctor, who never met her, and chaplains, social workers, intake specialists, etc. The only part that I really liked (and that she enjoyed) was called Sacred Flight. They are harpists who come by appointment, and play their harp for the patient. Family is welcome to come in and listen, too. The harpists stop periodically to count respiratory rates, and gauge the patient's level of conscious, reaction, etc. and adjust their music accordingly. My mother was always sensitive to sound, and wasn't sure she would like them, but I talked her into allowing them in to play, with the agreement that she could decide she did not like them, and ask them to leave. She loved their music. She repeatedly gave a "thumbs up" to them. They visited her three times, playing Celtic music on their harps, and occasionally singing a little with the music.
Anyway, that is way more than you ever wanted to read about long term care. The upshot is that it may be very expensive, and though she is unmanageable at home, and very difficult for her caretakers to deal with, it may be the best option.
She is just a tiny little stick figure, though, isn't she? Just skin, bones and attitude.

Oh, and I have to say, the newspaper underoos are a new concept for me. My mother would have said of this type of behavior "they didn't get all that money by spending it". Still, it can't be comfortable, and based on the fact that she filled your back porch with garbage rather than pay for removal (I wonder if some of the bags are full of besmirched comic sections, now that I think of it) I guess I'm not too surprised. Her caretakers must be saints to handle this. I take it as an impressive sign that even your mom is trying to reason with her.

Border, she's ruined and ran everyone in the family for decades. So, this is funny to me.

Angie, the old bitch shits all over all the fucking time! She hides it with more newspapers. It's all over the fuckig house! Shauna and Bruce do nothing but clean shit all day and night. Gawd, I hate her.

Dirty Disher said...

Lia, the bitch has dementia, yet she can tell a cop what day it is, what month, bla bla. Mom has touches of it too. It strikes at the damndest times. But, Bitch Face has always been hell on wheels. The whole entire family hates her ass. We sit around and joke about killing her and when in the fuck will she die already?? It's awful, but, she's evil and always has been.

I found out today that Bruce owns his own house, paid for! I said, why the fuck are you putting up with her?? He said, I dunno, guilt maybe? Yeah, dude that's how she plays you. Well she aint playin' me. Neither is her sister when the time comes. Bet on it.

Christina, she wouldn't stay for her 90 day plan, even though it was payed. Insisted that they were mean and abusive to her and talked her son into coming to get her before she was ready. She has an awful vac wound from surgery. But, by god, she was coming home. I've been through all that with her before Bruce and Shauna came to Iowa to take care of her. She does what she wants. She gets what she wants. She manipulates, uses guilt and greed, pays people for shit with money she hides, black mails, etc. Anything she can scheme.

Yeah, she's tiny now, but, she was always a fat gal before. Fat with black hair and red lipstick. I always thought she was glamorous when I was little. But, I knew she was bad news, even then. She makes sure she's got some hold on all of us. She figures out what you want or need and goes from there. I am one of the few who draws a line. She can't buy me. No way. Nothing is worse than what you'd owe her. Nothing.

No. Fucking. Way.

No amount of guilt would persuade me to do this. The fact that she's a miserable bitch would seal the deal.

You might think I am a bitch for saying this, but let ol' BF run out, get hit by a truck or Harley. Let her! Too mean to live. Damn.

Dirty Disher said...

I don't have anything to do with her. I refuse to even speak to her. I have enough problems with her dumb sister. I just laugh at BF and her antic. I do feel sorry for Bruce and Shauna, but, they lasted longer than I thought they would. I think they're done now. Old bitch.

How can anyone live in a house of feces? Doesn't it stink like shit all day long? All her belongings will have to be burnt. There's no getting rid of the stench. Most ppl I know with dementia all run away. They don't last long once they start that behavior. I know an old guy that walked to the bar very late at night, snow up to his ass, in his pajamas. The owner knew who to call and they came and got him. Another night he went missing from his house. Again, deep snow. His own daughter drove over the RR tracks. Thot she saw something, went back and he was laying on the tracks, again, in his pajamas. And it was 1:00 a.m. They can't outrun their disease and that's what they are attempting. It's sad. But mean is mean. I'm sorry but maybe it's karma. But she isn't even aware of the debt she's paying. And watch. She will leave her house to someone else, entirely. That's how it goes. She will F them, with her last breath. That's how mean ppl are. The most undeserving always end up golden. ALWAYS!

She's rocking the tennis balls on her walker. Is that standard issue?
