Lights, camera, action..and rest in peace, Joan Rivers

Joan Rivers had what she wanted..a real Hollywood funeral. Joan always said she wanted a star studded send off, she said, 'If you're going to die, die big. Is there anything worse than a boring death? I think not.'

Joan wanted craft services, plenty of paparazzi and Hollywood all the way at her send off. She said that instead of a Rabbi, she wanted Meryl Streep crying in five different accents and a wind machine, so that even in her casket her hair would be blowing just like Beyonce. I doubt if she got the wind machine for her hair, but, she did get a star studded send off that began on Manhattans Fifth Avenue. Where else? With throngs of fans and paps and cameras flashing everywhere. Celebrities came from everywhere, star after star. I think Joan would have liked it, don't you?

Reports say Joan died of cardiac arrest after her throat procedure, but, her death is still being investigated. Umm, I don't know, but, I assume that means Melissa is trying to figure out who to sue. And sue someone, she should. It's all a bit shady. I still don't understand why an 81 year old woman was advised to have surgery on her vocal cords in a clinic instead of a hospital? I have no clue about that. It's  up to Melissa and her lawyers to figure out how that worked..or didn't work. Obviously.

The list of real stars who attended Joan's funeral is endless, even Prince Charles and Camilla sent their personal regards and sympathy. It turns out, Prince Charles and Joan Rivers were actually friends. And of course, the faux stars came out in droves, including people like Kelly Osbourne, in her purple mohawk, because what is Fashion Police without Joan? These little twats like Kelly will have to find themselves another job without Joan to carry that show. Unless they find a replacement who's not afraid to burn the big names on a regular basis. Who am I kidding? No one but Joan could do that. So, Juliana Rancid can go back to reading her celeb news Q-cards and occasionally talking about how she got her body back after her surrogate gave birth to her son and no one will remember her name.

I keep wondering who will take over Joan's QVC jewelry line? That's one of Melissa's million dollar legacies. I'm not even being sarcastic here, Joan pushed that thing well and made millions from it. Plus, she was highly amusing on the shopping channel. That place usually has a stick up it's butt so far nothing could pull it out. Joan is gone, and she will be missed. It was a good send off though, I think she would have been pleased. Rest in peace, Joan Rivers. I like to think Joan is up in Heaven pissing PETA off and asking Liz Taylor, 'Who dressed you, your bartender?'

I miss her already. Yes Fashion Police will never have the same fun and snark and yes, truth, that Joan gave. I think Melissa was a producer for that show.I had one of her comedy albums, What Becomes A Semi Legend Most. My mom would have blown a gasket if she'd found it - in the last few years though she did think Joan was funny. Maybe Mom just got beyond the shock she though she should have at what Joan would say.

I feel like she wasn't done either. I wonder if she hadn't gone to that clinic, would she have had another 10 years or so?

I feel like she wasn't done, either, and that someone made a big mistake. It is very troubling that in the initial press releases about her arrest, they said they didn't know how long she had been without oxygen (in essence that's what they said). How can that be? Why wasn't someone watching? Didn't they have monitors in place?
She may have lived years yet, if this hadn't happened. I wonder why she arrested? I think that by the time they got help, too much damage had occurred. Very, very sad. I really liked her. Truly a shocking loss.

I also wondered why at 81 she would have any procedure done in a clinic. I also agree that she would have been around for a little longer. She seemed strong and energetic. Her grandson must be devastated. They seemed so close. She will be missed.

If Prince Charles was her friend, I've just lost all respect for him. She was creepy all her public life.

Dear Joan left Melissa an empire to run. And she will. The FP is gone. It can't continue. No way. Kelly was in the hospital with pneumonia but left to attend the funeral, Bobby Vinton was also ill with pneumonia and was unable to attend. I love me some Bobby Vinton! Bluuuuue Velvet...anyways. Joan was awesome and the final season of Joan knows Best was already in the can. We will get to see that, at least. The woman was fine! Performed the night before. Death by Propofol. Yep. Kinda seeing a pattern? The woman had All of Gaza pissed off as well as the obamas. Not accusing, but just saying. You piss off the wrong people and you can be disappeared, and fast. Look at all the "suicides" surrounding the Clintons? Yea riiight! As if. 47 bodies and counting. My husband was in surgery last month, the dr let his blood pressure drop to 90. The top number! And he's diabetic. So, it stopped his kidneys and they had to rush him to a big hospital in Indy. He was flatlined on kidney function. And they didn't tell him what happened, yet he continued to get worse each day. His pee was pure blood. I didn't know, your bladder can still work w/o kidney function. The Drs at the big hospital filled him in on what the F happened to him. Anyways, we are waiting to decide once he's recovered, finally, to make a decision about what to do. Cuz somebody clearly fucked up. Did the anesthesiologist do some texting and not monitor the vitals? This was knee minor surgery too, no huge deal. So, you have a small window to do something, legally. I hope melissa does. That's what they invented malpractice insurance for! And now my husband has to have 2 more knee surgeries! To fix the fuck up. This will be 5 total on just that one knee. Cuz it's never been right. Since last November. It sux. So, Melissa will do great continuing Joan's businesses. She left a lot behind. But she was shrewd and I'm sure she had everything in writing. All her ducks in a row. She will be missed dearly. I loved to hear her talk. Lol.gawd, she had a hand in so many different enterprises! It will be a job and I'm sure Joan had a staff too! it will all be good.
Love you Joan, <3
