HERE. Oh, geez. I only got one wrong. 'Comptroller', I say comp-troller. So does everyone I know. I am not counting Fage. Why would I ever say that? I live in Iowa, for cripes sake. I'm lucky I can get may-o-naise. And they are just wrong on 'the'. I am calling that one out. Who thinks that out? When ever the word 'the' is discussed, I always think of James Taylor. He always says 'the' as 'thee'. Always. He's always a nice thought.
So, which ones do you get wrong?

They say that comptroller should be pronounced as "controller", and to leave the mpt out. That doesn't even make sense. You get "coroller" out of that spelling. I drove one of those when I was on vacation, once, but you will never get me to believe that is what they mean.
I don't get the whole the and thee thing, either. I think I slip in and out of both.

Hey, you're right.
I got them all right but that comes from being raised in British Columbia in the sixties and seventies. I loved languages and vocabulary and they always came easily to me.
But they made sure in class that we learned proper English and we never really heard slovenly English in the playground - or anywhere. Things have changed
I dont even know what fage is and there is NO way I'm saying it baNAL. I worked with someone named Nike pronounced: Nih KAY. I pretty much follow the "thee/thuh" rule but i think most of us do without realizing it. Thee apple flows off the tongue better than thuh apple. Thee + vowel word is less work to say. At least it is around these parts.
I think Nike should rhyme with trike or Mike. Nope aint goin' with no 'thee' unless it's Shakespeare or the holy bable. Or I'm talking to James Taylor. Yum.
