Gregg Allman biopic Midnight Rider director pleads guilty

On Monday, the film's director, Randall Miller, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and criminal trespassing and will serve two years in a county jail and eight years probation while also paying a $20,000 fine.
Executive producer Jay Sedrish also pleaded guilty to the same charges and received 10 years probation.

This is so bizarre. During the filming of Midnight Rider, the Gregg Allman biopic, the director made the fatal decision to film a bridge/dream scene on an active rural railroad bridge. Several people were injured and one camera assistant was killed when an unexpected train showed up. There's film of them scrambling to get off the bridge HERE.

Sarah Jones was killed when a fuel tanker hit her and the train ran over her. The movie starred William Hurt. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's son, Wyatt was also in the movie and he can be seen scrambling off the bridge with his guitar still on his back. That was some crazy shit. WTF was that director thinking? Wouldn't you, at least, have lookouts up ahead on both sides of the track so they could contact you?

Excuse me, Mr. Hurt, but, RUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!

Was the kid also Goldie's son, or a son from another mother? Anyway, tragic and so avoidable. Was surprised he got actual jail time. A shame she died in such a way Horrible.

Wyatt IS Goldie and Kurt's only child together. He's named after Wyatt Earp. Kurt's "Tombstone" character. He was a big hockey star. What happened to that? And I love Wm Hurt. But I'm not buying him as Gregory. Probably a good thing this movie won't be made. I am so sorry about that girl being killed. And they all witnessed it. I saw a 13 y.o. girl get hit by a train once. Arms and legs went all directions. I was 6. I still have "photographs" of it in my mind. We all walked up to the tracks after it happened. The site was shocking, but I wasn't scared. It didn't look real to me. Her white anklet sox and penny loafers were all over the place too. I will leave out the details. But it's not something you ever forget. That's hell for her family.

OMG, what a horrible thing for a child to see. I saw some pretty rough things too. They get stuck in your mind and they are so bad, as a kid, you don't know how to process it. It becomes...weird.
