An Iowa Mom's War on Mosquitoes
Very clear info on a homemade bug trap. I bought new yeast today to try it. I have to add, yeast and brown sugar are not cheap. A jar of yeast was almost $6 bucks! That part, I don't think some people understand. Yeah, I am in a financial bracket that has to think about things as small as that. I decided it is worth it to try this, because the bugs are killing me. I have already spent so damn much money on every spray, lotion and liquid locally available, from organic to horrid chemical. None of them are working this year and the Mosquitos are gigantic and hungry. They are beyond vicious at night. Ferocious!
I just found out they make bug jackets. But, the average cost is around $35 bucks. Some cheaper, but, they look stiff. Stupid looking? You bet. I'd still wear it. I can't do this bug thing much longer. Or the fucking heat thing. Oh, George Cooney, you're killin' me here in Iowa.

Off Topic Again...If you want to be totally blown off your feet, go to YouTube and look up Angelina Jordan. Eight years old and if you close your eyes you could never tell it. Damn, she made me shiver.
okay.
HOLY.....fucking.....SHIT! I thought it was gonna be a kid with a big voice, bla bla. No. That is just goddamn amazing! OMG, the kid is a true natural born jazz artist!!
Just realized I have something wrong with my safari browser so have to go download another version. But needs to be plugged in for that. Won't do that for hours yet since have to get ready to take Mikey the Aussie for his photography session. Oddly, I learned that a guy a couple of blocks away is a photog and got his picture in front yard. I'll have to see if I can get him to give me one. The one tonight, I get a 11 X 14 for free and some kind of video. Of course I'll probably buy more, but the session itself is worth $600. And I don't pay. Nice to have a good looking dog.
BTW Pat, I'll spring for the suit. email me your addy.
I may try this. We have mosquitoes, but not near as many as you describe. I would like to decrease their numbers, though.

We have mosquito sprayers that come every night. I requested for the driver to sit in my yard for a minute or 2 because the land is so low, it sometimes holds water. But in the summer, they come everyday whether it rains or not. And I have to say it helps a lot in my yard.
Nice on the dog photos, Border! And no on the jacket, appreciate the thought greatly though. You're sweet.
Jane, they used to do that here. I don't know if forced chemicals are a good thing or not. But, this year? I miss them. Man, it is bad.
