Did you ever feel like someone was watching you?

Have you ever been unnerved by the feeling that someone is watching you, stalking you? Yet there is no one...wait..nevermind.

"Oh, nuthin' much. Just hangin' around. Gonna tear the shit out of this lace thing. Doo da dum. Bored. Might take a big dump up here somewhere. Watch you have to smell it out. I love it when you have to use the paint scaper. Ha ha!"

Handsome boy! Man, he's a good lookin' Raccoon. He's torn my house to shreds. But, still not as bad as Indie. He's really not. I just scored a big, huge dog crate for him, so, he can get more time out and I don't feel bad. Lots of room for toys and curiosities. Aww, he's still so loving and sweet. Kissy, huggy. Aww. I love it when he comes galloping across the house, boom boom, and throws himself at me, just to hug me real tight and lick my face. It's so fuckin' cute.

Me: "Hey, buddy, you don't fit in my lap anymore, what we gonna do? Oh, okay, lay with your head on my knees and stick your feet in my mouth. Makes sense."

he really is adorable! You're a brave woman....I think I'd be too chicken to raise one - but I love reading about him and looking at your photos of him. I think I have a few that come through my yard once in awhile - but they just knock stuff off the deck and probably eat the food i put out for the two stray cats.

Sandy, I DO have to put on my brave pants sometimes. He's not mean, but, like when he's flipping out and I have to reach in a blind spot and grab him. He's fierce. I was bleeding last night, but, it was play. I get kick out of play though.

That IS love, you're right. He thinks of me as mama and Coons love their moms.

Wow, he's so pretty. He's really becoming a fine raccoon, with a 'tude to match!

Thanks. He's such a JOB. But, not long to go now.

there's not many things that can top the rush of having some critter/human full of affection for you

I"m intimidated by them though I don't show it when I'm around them. (I hope). The ones living here seem so interested in me sometimes and I feel the same way, almost like we'd like to hang out close together, but we're both too scared to.

i think it's so cool to have a wild critter love a human mom like that - and i know it takes a lot of work from reading you - but what fun u must also be having.

He is adorable, and obviously loves his mama. When I think about how far gone he was when you got him, it gives me a chill.
I love the pictures of him up in Lissa's space. He is so cute with his little hands in that lace.
I'm really glad you were there for him when he needed help so desperately.

You're right to be intimidated, that's part of their defense. They are usually non violent (except females with baby hormones). They play rough, but, aren't in general, mean. You might offer them food from your hand, but, that's as far as I go with a wild one. It's better for humans and animals to keep a safe distance.

Sandy, he is SO much fun. But, mornings are really tough. I am in such pain in the am. Now, I can feed him and leave him in that big cage for awhile until my meds start to work. It's much better because he goes nuts when I let him out. He flips upside down and runs like a banshee. He gets his 'lovin' time in too. He's a kiss and hugger, this one. They are all such individuals. I would almost prefer it if he was a mean bastard, but, this one isn't. He's so damn sweet.

Christina, I am so glad I could help him. It was just a privilege for me.
