(photo credit, Suzi Rivers.) Beautiful! OMG, you rarely see an event like the Full Harvest Moon turning red, Blood Red Moon on full. I feel so privileged to have seen the Lunar Eclipse last night, it was so special.
It looked like you could reach out and grab it, it was major 3-D and gorgeous. You could feel the energy, not only from the Moon, but, also from all the people outside watching it. It was wonderful. I didn't even try to photograph it. I knew better. This photo is one of Alissa's. She did good.
We had several small alters instead of a big one. Food and wine was offered as well as incense, herbs, blessed water, bells and chants. We also had bratworsts and marshmallows. Good stuff. We made our spells for change and sent them up to the Universe in the smoke of our fire.
Close your eyes and make your spell. Three by three, send it well. Send it where the spirits dwell.
Did the spirits of hear us call? Did they attend? Yes, we believe they did. We welcomed them.
What a mess! We had a big bag of antique noise makers I picked up at a yard sale. Drums and big bells with wooden beaters, triangles, castanets, you name it. Odd wooden ones that I don't know the name of, but, they were awesome with the fire chant. We also had ribbon sticks for dancing round the fire.
Later, when all the neighbors had gone to bed, I let our animals join us round the fire. They had the best time! Also, they had the hot dogs no one wanted. They wouldn't eat them cold though, I had to cook them. They are so spoiled.
Hey, I know that boy! Awww, come here, chubby baby and give me a kiss. Good boy.
Such a cutie pie.
Ouiji Board laying in wait. Setting a trap for someone else. Oh, who could it be?
The unsuspecting intended victim of Ouiji, exploring Alissa's crazy lawn chair. He thinks it's a climbing trampoline.
Take a close look at that photo and you will see what I saw. It took me awhile to catch on because it was dark and my animals were playing hard, fast and making a ruckus. But, look..there are TWO Raccoons there!!! See the nose sticking out on the right and the long tail in the middle? There is no way that is one animal! No wonder I thought they were eating a lot of hot dogs! I had an extra little beggar in the dark who also ate from my hand!
I don't know this one, but, he was hungry enough to come right up to me! Aww, and he played so nice with the other animals. Come back anytime, sweet little stranger. I will always have food here.
Out in the street, there were eyes everywhere! Please click that picture to appreciate that moment. OMG! I left them all the leftover food in the driveway with a big bowl of cat food. It was all gone this morning. My gosh, is this what Tooney sees every night??? No wonder he begs to come in.
PS..if you missed the Full Blood Harvest Moon, no worries, it will be out again tonight. But, that is your last chance to see it. I am pretty sure I will never see another one in my life time.

Looks like everyone had a good time last night. I didn't get to see the moon. Too many clouds.
I saw it, and saw a little of it again about a half hour ago. It is so low in the sky that it is difficult for me to see from the back steps or front of the house.
Maybe I'll look one more time.

We chanted and danced! Well, I chair danced, still counts.
I went to a full moon meditation last night and walked home a mile with the full moon out in a (rare here) clear night sky. But I missed the eclipse and the red phase. I feel sorry for myself after seeing your pics of it. I had been watching it when I remembered to and it was beautiful with that special moon light colour - white, with other tones.
It's 3 am here and I just checked outside. The moon is back to its normal size, now smiling at me. Almost saying she is sorry, but it's all over.
it's such a good sign when critters are attracted to us as that night full of eyes shows.
Yes to chair dancing. I learned that from Tina Turner at a club show she did here decades ago. 'dancing in your seat, keeping time to the beat'
I stupidly put my cards out to be blessed last night. I am drying them on the heat stove this morning. LOL. Ahh, they be nice and clean fer sure.
I'm so sad I didn't get to see it. It's been raining for a week and half here. Don't get me wrong, I love rain, but not when I can't see the full moon!
Awww, sorry, but, I got 657 email photos of it. LMAO. Want one?
Nah, it's okay. I'll look it up if I get desperate.
