Why, internet? You dare to ask WHY?

Yawn. Oh, Internet, you make me laugh. You dare to ask how I feel about my favorite movie of all time being remade with Laverne Cox as the Frank N. Furter lead instead of Tim Curry. You dare to tell me I will have to deal with the fact that Laverne is a transsexual instead of a transvestite. You dare to suggest I may like it?? You dare to ask me why not??

I say this to you, Internet...FUCK YOU IN YOUR FUCKHOLE. Laverne Cox is wonderful and she can do The Time Warp all day long, but, she will never, NEVER!! be Frank. Here's my deal...there is absolutely no need for a RHPS remake, when we already have the RHPS. Why would you remake something that is perfect and can never be duplicated again? Need I remind you, there have been literally 1,000s of remakes of RHPS, and I am never going to count that ridiculous parody that Glee spewed out. In the 1,000's of remakes, has one ever been notable? Nope. Not one. Not a single one.

Please, you ridiculous wannabe clone spawns of cinematic satan, I snap my surgical gloves at you. Hoopla! HOOPLA, I say. You can not create something which already exists! In the words of The White Stripes, 'Leave it alone!"

I LOVE Tim Curry, he can do no wrong! and I love this movie! To remake it with anyone else will be a travesty. They should save the remakes and stuff for the stage show.
Have you seen Tim Curry lately? I did not know he had had a stroke and to see the photos of him now was very sad. Still love him, always will be a fan!!!

YOU are my people. Hell no, no one else can ever be Frank. They can do an ode to him, but, they can not be him. Yep, I knew he'd had a stroke (so have I) and I've seen recent photos. All I feel is more love for him. I also saw him playing a horrible role on, I think it was CSI or one of those, where he played a nasty looking old pervert. It was so terrible, yet so damn good. Tim is amazing no matter what age or what he looks like. He has a light from inside that us unequaled.

No, just no. I have so many fond memories of going to see RHPS in high school. The rice, tp, squirt guns....it was so much fun!!!!

There are movies and songs that shouldn't be redone and RHPS is on the top of the list.

Oh, be still my heart! I can't stand to think of Tim in the condition he is in. He was so fantastic in anything he did. Always made me smile even when he played the perv role because I knew underneath he was all Tim.

I agree with you about the remake. There are just some things that are perfect and should remain as they are. And they will probably use CGI. What a shame.

I still haven't found the perfect place to put my RHPS print that I got at a redneck auction. They were so shocked that someone wanted that pic.

I like RHPS, though I have never been to a theater to join in that kind of fun. It's not that I didn't want to, it's just that it never worked out when we thought of it.
I love Tim Curry in anything he is in, and was very sad to learn of his stroke.
Did you hear the story of how (some years ago) he and a friend were out and about in New York City (maybe) and they decided to go see RHPS but couldn't get in as the show was sold out? Oh, the irony. Anyone inside would have given their eye teeth to meet him at that show, but he couldn't get in.
No, it should not be redone. It is a classic as it stands. Any remake would be poor, as it was done right the first time.

THIS was my second introduction to Tim Curry, my first was "IT".

It's the Worst Witch and was a crazy bad movie from the 80s but i loved it and my 5 year old self thought he was the cutest man ever!

PS - Clue was my third intro and RHPS was my fourth!

Leave RHPS alone. You can't improve on perfection

O fer the love of fucking krist - DO NOT REMAKE WHAT IS PERFECT. We all saw what happened when Hitchcock's 'Psycho' was remade. Oh, wait, no one, and I mean NO ONE, saw it. Heh.
