Happy American Thanksgiving
What the hail am I showing you instead of a glazed turkey and some Norman Rockwell lies? Ahhh. I woke up early, around 4 am and fed my very happy and loving Raccoon, something he has askewed since his wilding. He was so happy, smiling, kissing me, tickling my toes, things he hasn't done for awhile. He visits every few days, but, always seems nervous and wary. He has a slight wound on his neck, more of a bump really. Just a swelling from a fight I assume was with big Poppa Coon. Well, his size, youth and strength have paid off. It was clear, if you know Coons, like I do, that he has finally whipped the butt of the larger Coon. He no longer fears. I am sure, other than a few bumps and face scratches, no one was hurt. Raccoons are not, in general, mean animals. But, there must be a hiarchy. He has achieved his place, to fear no more and celebrated with cookies and cakes and a seat in his old mother's lap with much cooing and kissing. I am proud of him. He has also moved home. No need to stay anywhere else when he is now ruling the roost. Under the deck and the old garage filled with warm hay is his sleeping place now. Maybe he just had to stay at the other place until he proved himself. But, it is now Tooney who eats the best and leaves the budget cat food for the others. He didn't even feel the need to nip me, which was different. He's happy to be here and be the king of his world.
And speaking of rulers, I fed him, made coffee and watched THIS. The story of new evidence which claims the mummy of Nefertiti, hidden in shame for 3,000 years, has been identified. The mummy's mouth had been deliberately destroyed, which in their religious terms, means she could not speak her name to her God and was not allowed entrance into her afterlife. That has now been rectified and after 3,000 years, Nefertiti could move on. It's a beautiful and moving documentary. Do watch it, if you get a chance. I am still puzzled by the way she and her followers worshiped the Sun. Celestial worship has always made sense to me, but, it is the Moon that women should take heed of. The Sun is masculine. The Moon feminine. But, even the gentle Moon was corrupted by horrible dark male priests. Perhaps that's why she choose a new and different way. Anyway, she is free now and it makes me happy.
So, religion, ehh? Someone always fucks it up. I hope no one fucks up your holiday meal anyway. I hope all you Americans have a great day and a great feast.
PS..the pics are the Nefertiti bust that had been found, you know, forever and the recreation from the skull of the mummy. Amazing resemblance, isn't it? There was much more that proved it was her, you just have to watch it. It's The Discovery Cannel one. And, of course, the scientist that freed Nefertiti is a woman.

Interesting. I'll have to look for that. I watch a lot of documentary-type shows. Lately my favorites have been Hunting Hitler, The Curse of Oak Island, Holy Grail in America, The Pilgrims: American Experience, and anything related to the Civil War. I have watched a lot of shows about Egypt and the Middle East, but will have to look for this one. It sounds fascinating.
This year I am thankful that you have a new home, that you are regaining your health, that your animals have made the move with you, and that your home is peaceful and safe.

America blows.
Dan, I've been better. Thanks for thinking of me. Beth
I'll never forget you.
I just wanted you to know that no matter what happens you will always live in my heart.
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy 50th Anniversary of Alice's Restaurant's Thanksgiving. Been singing it all day---it has now wormed it's way in and out and all through my brain. I mean 50 yrs. I just can't be this old!!!!
I also watched that one. They (the same woman) also found a chamber off from King Tut's. They opened the sarcophagus and found the mummy was stuffed with all kinds of stuff, but what I remembered most was the garlic. That seemed strange to me.
And I so happy Tooney has settled in for now. Glad he's making his on way but still staying close to mom. That is until a pretty little young female catches his eye.
Dan and Beth your comments annoyed me. Why are two adults having some kind of passive aggressive friendship breakup in the comments of someone else's blog? Dan you seem like a douche, and Beth you seem uptight. I hate you both, but really Dan... C'mon man, you're acting like a little bitch. Beth is a negative person? Okay so why are you wasting your time by feeding her negative energy and turning it into a bigger situation? Because you made your unwanted drama public for strangers to observe, please also accept this advice from a stranger: Both of you should fuck off unless you actually have something to say that adds to the conversation (about the blog post).
Sorry to continue boring Allen, just needed to say, don't tell Beth to fuck off. She did nothing. It's all on me. I'm an idiot who doesn't know how to deal with feelings! Why am I typing this in here? I don't know or maybe I do!
Switched browsers and was logged in with the wrong account. Well whatevs!
Commenting on this site has gone to shit. Unless DD starts moderating it, it is no longer fun......
I'm wondering what the ppl on the Rez celebrate on t-day.
Race
People on the rez celebrate killing us whities. Duh.
Moderate this assfuck.
Why, this is the most comments I've had in a hundred years. Allen is the troll who's moldy vagina has been telling me my mom is dead. Funny, she cooked a dry turdkey and stuffing with hair and celery in it yesterday. I don't know which is worse, hair or cooked celery. I don't know what nice crispy celery ever did to that bitch but she liquefies it in everything.
Lol @ liquified celery, though the hair part made me gag a little.
I am fixing Andy and I a little Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, and now I am going to be paranoid about hair when I fix the stuffing tonight. I think I will have to root around here and see if I can find one of those old kitchen lady type hair nets.

You're right, I'm kind of intense.
Nobody in my life ever made turkey with celery but apparently in some cultures that's a thing.
That bitch puts slimey overcooked celery in everything. She's a rotten cook. And Dan, you're fine, don't give it another thought. It's about time someone got temp crazy on here besides me. I'll talk to you soon, you made me laugh this morning.
On the phone, I mean. Not your hurting posts, that made me sad for you, but, you seemed more human than usual. It is always the hard, sarcastic ones who feel the most deeply.
And Beth, you know I love you too.
If I spent ten million god damn years explaining myself the whole time it would never be enough.
Then you become patient some more. And wait until both people are less afraid. Love always wins over fear, it just takes awhile sometimes.
I've been at work all day and missed the excitement.
You may think I'm not alive because I can put things behind me, but I can and I do. I'm over the hot mess, like Allen (what an asshole, right?), but I'd like to try to communicate again, Dan. What do you think?
Tweeted at you Beth.
the indigenous ppl of this country call it the National Day of Mourning.
interesting previous commentary, I hope it all gets sorted out between Beth and Dan.
