Where to spend time if you like spooky stories

HERE is one of my fav places to spend time. Some of the stories are well written and truly scary. You have to pick through some dumb ones, because anyone can post their writing attempts there, but, it's worth it when you find gold. Oh, and anyone can comment too, it's very easy, BUT, read the rules first. Remember, everything you read on NoSleep is true. Even if it's not.

If you'd rather have the spook stories read to you, just go to You Tube and type in 'Creepy Pasta'. There you will find a delightful array of spook fans getting YT  famous for their narration skills and most of it is from NoSleep. My favorites are McCreepyPasta and Be Busta. I like to put the comp on auto play and just let one of my fav readers take me to sleep with the creep.

This is something I could never do in the other house. It was too paranormally fucked. I am almost living a normal life here. It's sweet.

I'm officially blaming you for drastically reducing my efficiency with this awesome time-waster tip LOL- bye, bye client timelines :)

I posted a story there once about the time I saw Bruce trying to get himself off by shoving a rusty screwdriver into his urethra, but Reddit took it down for being too nasty.

O.T.----Have you ever watched a movie and you recognize one of the actors but he's not listed when you press the info button because he really doesn't matter that much? But it's driving you crazy and you strain your brain trying to recognize the voice. (I was washing dishes so I couldn't check imdb.) The movie was Bruce Cambell"s Evil Dead 2. (Yes, I'm weird like that.) And then it hits me! Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks!!! How many thousands of years ago I heard them sing a song called "Smoke That Cigarette" and that damn song has been running through my brain. Worse than that, I remember an older (much older) dude named Phil Harris singing that same song on an Ed Sullivan show. And then I remembered running into this old dude on Bourbon St. one Mardi Gras. And I looked up with my face planted in his chest and I looked up and said, "Damn, you're that old dude!" I had had a few hurricanes at Pat O'Briens---this was back in the day when you could walk around with a GLASS glass and nobody cared. You could also party with the navy and not worry about being killed or raped. I have absolutely no idea where I'm going with this, but it is all because I watched that stupid movie, with a guy in it that no one has any idea about and a some other "really" old guy that again no one has ever heard of (or cared) about and I still have that stupid song in my head----smoke, smoke, smoke the cigarette---puff, puff, puff it til you puff yourself to death, tell st. peter at the golden not to worry you'll be late, you just got to have another cigarette!

I think I have really lost it this time! Freakin' song!

I loved Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks! Payday! !!! One of my favorites! I don't remember the name of the chick in the band that Maria Muldaur probably patterned herself after. We Just Couldn't Say Goodbye was another one I remember.
Sounds like you really know how to party, Jane. I have always wanted to see New Orleans. Sounds like it must be pretty dangerous, though.
I know what you mean about seeing someone in a movie, and they aren't credited. That can drive a person right around the bend.
I hear the stuck in the head song thing referred to often as an ear worm. I call it tunes from hell.

Christina, it's sad to say but in the last few years Bourbon St. has not been safe. It's a case of idiots carrying guns, getting drunk, and just shooting every thing in sight. It's Mardi Gras season now and I hope things can be kept under control. My BIL rides on one of the parades (TOTH) and my sister and I go to see that. If you stay out of the FRench Quarter, you will be OK. New Orleans is a beautiful city. (Pictures do not do it justice.) It's just going through some bad times right now. The Confederate flag thing is causing a lot of problems. The mayor is planning on removing 4 very important statues. (Trying to change history.) Since the city is in the red financially, I wonder how all this is going to be done.

I had to bring my big baby Puppy some dog food. While I was down the bayou, I stopped at the new Pit Bulls and Paroles place in Assumption Parish. They have 13 acres for the dogs there. I'm not sure if someone gave them the land or if they just made it an easy buy for them, but it is a great place for the animals. It just makes me cry to think that so many animals have to be rescued. Tia Torres and her group are doing such a great job.

My favourite to listen to is Mr. Nightmare, his reads the true reddit stories that are true, and some are even verified to be true. I would listen to them before bed, weird I know, but I guess even adults (if I could call myself that) need bedtime stories. Scary ones that is.

I'll check this out too, because I LOVE scary stories, especially the ones that make you tense up and freeze. Scared down to the core.

There has been a problem with taking down the 4 Confederate statues in New Orleans. It seems the company that was suppose to take them down has been getting threats. So they decided they would not honor the contract and would not take down the statues. Last night the owner of that company had a little bad luck. It seems his $220,000 Lambreghini (sp) burned down to a pile of ashes and rims. I guess someone didn't hear he backed out of the contract.

Maria Muldaur, you couldn't name one of her songs that I don't do, though no one here knows who the hell she is. I love the hot licks and now you've made me learn more than one of their songs. I have to have sheet sheets for the lyrics now, but, the music still comes out my fingers automatically when I think it. What brain disability is that? Anyone know? Great comments.

Noreen, wasting time is good for you. It's stress relief.

Jane, I'll check it out. Sounds like a good series for future HBO or Netflix stuff.

Kitty, I'll try Mr Nightmare. It doesn't matter if you swear it's true, there will always be some asshole saying it's not.

AND oh yeah, I have seen someone in a cameo roll and been driven crazy by it. I happens most when I watch old movies. I can't sleep until I've found that person. AGGGGGGGGGGGGG!
