Did you see Bindi and Terri on Ellen? It is never my intention to diss a little child, 'specially one who just lost a parent she worshiped, but, there is something terribly wrong with this whole picture. Bindi's too rehearsed, to mature, too able to handle things. What she forgets, Terri quickly prompts and the whole thing kind of makes me feel uneasy. Watch it and YOU decide..VIDEO HERE. Take special note of Bindi when she walks out. Someone has even told her how to shake her head so her hair looks like its blowing carefree. This kid is going to have a complete meltdown by age 16.

Well I am writing from the arse end of the world, also known as Australia and the way they are pimping this little girl is an absolute disgrace. I suspect they have just made the trip to America to get away from all the speculation and criticism here for how she is being treated.
They have just released a heavily advertised DVD (Kids fitness with spliced footage of Daddy - it is creepy) and an big TV ad campaign for the zoo featuring Bindi.
Dare I say it - and of course I do - without the cringe factor of Steve covorting about like some backwards yokel the way is clear to make some big $$ now.
So you Aussies are seeing this as explotive too? Interesting.
Actually she seems quite a normal kid. She's very well mannered in public, I mean, what parent wouldn't like his/her kid as well behaved as that? And I even think she talks a lot better than many of the adults that have been on any show. Whether or not she throws fits off-screen, well what kid doesn't? Even the nicest kid does it once in a while. At least she doesn't have her front teeth rotten or is not starring in some "sweet sixteen" dumb reality. Chances are she never will. My perception is that she just likes interacting. I see nothing wrong, but then again this is just the only time I've seen this kid on tv.
Okay, I dont care what anyone says, she knew her dad for a while and certainly long enough to draw tears at the mere mention of her dad....no tears?!?!?!, hell ellen was welling up.....Its wrong...just plain wrong
That kid's normal? Really?
I saw a hint of sadness when ellen brought up her dad, but like I said in my previous post, that's the only time I've seen this kid talk ever...I might be wrong, but I didn't really feel anything wrong with her.
Kids cant really grasp the permanency of death, it could take a while before it truly hits her. Also, everyone handles stress differently...I think its fucked up you posted this page about her. Its fucked up that shes getting this kind of attention, fuck the press and the shitty comments.
well I read all your comments and it seems we are divided a bit here Pat lol.
I watched and got an eerie feeling about her. I don't know why I say that, it just didn't strike me as being normal.
I know kids are resillient, but to me its like - ok I am 8 years old, my dad died and oh well life goes on. I know kids take death of parents differently, but I just didn't see much saddness displayed from her.
I saw Ellen more upset then her and I just found that sad to see.
I guess this is their livlihood and unless they promote it, they won't survive.
Are they trying to cash in on Steve's death, yeah I would think so to a certain degree, but many try and keep going the legacy of a loved one.
I don't know, I found it odd and errie and just sad.
I think that the kid is showing some evidence of rehersal, which she never seemed to show beofre. This is the first time that it was clear.
I have seen her come very close to losing it when talking about Dad, and that was closer in time to when he died.
We don't know what her concept of death really is. This could sound blasphemous.. but she could be buying into the "death is the promised land, and a reward for living the good life, and the best thing that could be happen and be attained". When generally in our lives, it just plain sucks. She's probably waiting for the "wonderful " part to kick in.
I don't think her Mom has it together enough to coach and peddle her daughter. But, I am sure there are others around. And, probably they were Steve's coworkers, and they could lead her to beleive they have a direct line to Steve in Heaven.
Basically, I think she is a sweet kid that any parent would be proud of. Maybe by those teenage years, she will have faded into a real life, or she might end up a mess.
