First prize for starting a national hate debate and religious war is Conan O'Brien and his "Homophobic Singing Cowboy."
Oh I love you Jesus
But only as a friend.
You touched my heart but I hope
That's where the touchin' ends.
You're always lookin' over me
When I need a higher power.
But you better look at somethin' else
When I'm in the shower.
Don't look at me Christians, I don't have a TV show and I think it's lame. I could have penned better lyrics while high as a kite on Nyquil. I didn't write one script for Sabrina The Teenage Witch either, but, you don't see me complaining.

Not funny, at all. You don't mock the Lord.
.D.
You're right. Let's mock Buddah instead. Buddah's fat! Buddah's got a double chin! Tired of that? How about Muhammad? Muhammad can't get laid! Muhammad needs a shave!!
Remind me to come back when I'm even more bored and we can pick on that elephant nosed Hindu God and some rabbis'.
I think one thing is making fun of the fact that some people act all fanatic over religion, I do it sometimes when they get on my nerves. Another very different is making fun of the object of their belief...If it's valid and makes you do good, it shouldn't be made fun of, and it should be respected, even though is a choice each one of us make, to believe or not to. But if it's something that's driving wedges between people, then there is a serious problem, and it shouldn't be made fun of either. Same with atheists, I bet they don't like to be made fun of because they don't believe in any deity or higher power....We can make fun of people all we want, but sometimes we need to know where to draw the line.
Except for all the dumbasses and dickheads that feed us gossip scavengers. There's never enough fun made of those people.
No one is mocking the Lord. They're mocking homophobes. I thought it was funny. If it was someone dressed up as Jesus saying "I love my people but only as a friend..." then there might be grounds for accusing them of making fun of the Lord.
