Simon doesn't mince words. He also doesn't believe in coddeling stupid celebrities. Here Simon on Britney Spears...
"He believes that rehab is "a total indulgence" and that Britney needs "to get a grip." Simon's advice? "She should go back and live with her mum for six months... lock the door, eat some normal food... and don't go out with your stupid friends."
Simon has it right except for one thing, going home to mom. Uhh huu. Bad move. Lynn Spears is not someone to run home to, she's more the running away from type.

Simon does not mix his words and I am glad not everyone is saying "poor Britney" in the celebrity world. Although I do feel for her, no one had her tied and made her do these things.
I don't know what though has caused it - drugs, PPD, divorce, but something has triggered her towards the down spiral.
I think she finally realised she was just smoke and mirrors...an optical and audio delusion created by Disney. When you get down to it there is nothing there. She's a fake.
Even though it must be a hard pill to swallow, it does make her a bit brighter than those other corporate created clones who still think they are genuinely talented.
