I've never paid much attention to the Alec Baldwin/Kim Basinger fued, but, now there's a voice message by Alec left for his 11 year old daughter, Ireland, that is pretty freaky. He goes comletely wacko on it, yelling at Ireland and calling her a thoughtless little pig and threatening to "straighten her ass out" a couple of times. It doesn't sound like that big a deal until you hear it. It's really kind of scary. His voice goes all threatening and you wonder what in hell punishment this kid is in for. Take a listen on TMZ.
His reps say he has apologized to the child and somehow managed to blame the whole thing on her mother. Hmmm, I don't buy it. That guy is friggin' psycho and I wouldn't want my kid near him. He also doesn't seem to know if she's 11 or 12. Chalk this up to, sickest item of the week.

I heard the message he left her...a little harsh but haven't most parents at one point or another "lost it" in a moment of frustration. Think about it, you make the effort to call your kid on a certain time and she never picks up...her mother obviously doesn't encourage her to pickup or listen to what her dad asks of her........Kids need a reality check.
Alec Baldwin is the new Bill Cosby.
The dude is a psycho.
Sorry Anony... I never spoke to my child in this manner, and hope I don't know anyone who did. This went way beyond "a little threatening". Hell, if I were her, I would be scared sh....es of his Friday the 20th arrival!
Parents are supposed to be able to keep it together. Shouldn't be the kids problem to take care of Dad and his problems. She probably favors Mom because Mom isn't a wacko she needs to be scared of!!
This is just sickening. I would want to take and hide her until age 21, to protect her. But, I know that isn't something that happens. Too bad.
Its no big deal, many people do worse things. He wanted her to get the understanding that it was not okay to disrespect her father the way she had been. She probably is a spoiled brat, rolling like a lil pig in his money. She does need to learn. As for him laying her ass out, has he done it before? Could have totally been a metaphor, for your going to sit down and be lectured for hours or be on some kind of spending restrictions. Alecs AWESOME!!!!!
I don't know how you grew up, I did not grow up in a family where yelling and threats and put downs were the norm. Your excuse of parents loseing it an its no big deal well I pity you. Nice way to make it a 11 year old girl fault for making her 50 year old dad lose his temper and blame her for his anger management problems. I now know why there are so many F' ed young women who have no self esteem. Look at the home they came out of.
Eeeew this is kinda of enlightening for me as well, I do have low self esteem and did make it out of a horrid childhood...I never even saw it like that...wow, definitely something I'll bring up with my psychotherapist...gosh this sucks...I guess I truly am fucked up...off to try and fix this way of thinking...feels shitty knowing my standards are low...makes me question everything...you suck mimi, I was actually having a fairly good day.
I have children, have been through a custody battle and have certainly been frustrated by the situation, and never once did I talk to my children or leave a meesage to them like that. One thing that comes through in Baldwin's appalling message is his "me, me, me" mentality. He mentions himself and his hurt feelings and his this and his that, over and over. He sounds completely out of control, with no apparent understanding or concern of how terrifying his rant would be to an eleven year old girl - or is she twelve? He doesn't even know how old she is. God knows how many of these screeds she has endured in the past. Baldwin didn't have enough self control to take the fact that he was being taped into consideration. He called his own daughter a pig, on tape. While in the middle of a public custody battle. Apart from anything else - what an idiot. Childish, immature, self obsessed people should have enough self awareness to know that they will not make good parents.
Crabbie, do you mean O.J.?
