Christina Applegate for PETA

Yeah, yeah, okay..I don't need fur. I don't even like fur, I think fur looks best on animals. I do like Christina Applegate even though her new show Samantha Who? sits right on the line between "tolerable because I'm bored and there's a writers strike" and "Gawd, what is this shit?" I like her less since she fell for PETA's bullshit..don't even get me started on them. She'll always be Kelly Bundy to me.

Here's a question for my readers..and I am serious here. I have this fox wrap that I bought because it's an antique from the '20's. It has 6 fox heads complete with taxidermied eyes and tails and cracks me up..BUT, also kinna grosses me out, if you know what I mean. It hangs on a stand in my bedroom with antique hats and deco crap like bejeweled bakeolite purses. Should I keep it for amusement or should I give the poor foxes a proper burial??

If you like it, keep it. Sticking it in the ground won't unkill the foxes. You bought it because it was vintage and you don't wear it so I see nothing bad about hanging the creepy thing in your roon!

room, maybe

Personally a dead foxes head on my shoulder would sort of scare me, so I don't know how anyone could wear that! But, as Jess said, if you like it, keep it. I would by afraid my house was haunted by stylish foxes.

Oh, geez, I never thought of that and everyone sees little black shadows creeping along the hallway here. Thanks..now I imagine they are pissed off long dead foxes with sharp little teefs.

the foxes are dead (duh)...as long as you aren't wearing it twirling the fox heads into PETA protesters faces (Which, hey might not be too safe to do)...why not keep it as it is...sounds like a charming display you have there....

and i read a few years ago that PETA collects fur coats from wealthy people (they convince, a-hem, them to donate them) and then they turn around and give them to the homeless...so PETA itself gives away fur coats for people to wear...

rather contradictory and is one of my issues with peta...but that's a different topic...

I just checked out your pic, Miss Tia because I like your posts here. Heee heeee..da fingah. Yep, that's how I feel most days too.

If you like it, wear it. If you don't like it because it has creepy heads on it, there's organizations you can donate your furs to and they actually use them to basically keep orphan bebeh fox pups warm. They liked the irony and ran with it I guess. Burying it seems like an awful waste now that it's already here n stuff.

I'd also like to point out that Peta is a terrorist organization and does not represent a lot of us vegematarian animal lovers. They are evil and hypocritical.

thanks DD!! that's my standard attitude....eff you with a smile! I gotta redo my pix for the holidays....maybe i'll get a santa's hat for it...ho ho OFF...

I third the suggestion by Amy Yeah and Anon. Give it to the little foxies to keep warm if it you don't want to keep it.

As for PETA, I don't know much about them. I don't eat meat and try to not use products tested on animals etc. but am not into animal activism. These groups tend to be full of aggressive teenagers that get in your face about whatever their cause is just to find a momentary identity but by the time they hit 25 they will be full-on meat eaters again and will have completely forgotten about their little phase.

Meh. Its kinda gross. I mean, my mom had this mink scarf like thing, (head, legs, and all) that she wouldn't wear but my siblings and I would throw at each other each taking our turn squeeling and throwing it at someone else. So I agree, if you really like it, keep it. But if not, then I would bury it. Not for cruelty reasons. Just because its a little scary. First I would use it for pranks though, like putting it in your car trunk with a head sticking out. lol. But thats just me...

Kinda like Lucy Ricardo's Stone Martins. That episode always scares me. Those things are intact! Eyes, noses..ew! Thats a different time & era. keep it DD. If you start to get fleas, then have the funeral. Personally, I'm creeped out by some poor dead creature with a face still attached.
