Jessica Alba claims she was attacked by a ghost

Alba has a new movie out..The Eye..a horror story, but, she claims when she was 17 she was attacked by a real ghost.
*Alba, 26, recalled: "I had no idea what it was. I felt this pressure and I couldn't get up, I couldn't scream, I couldn't talk, I couldn't do anything.
"Something definitely took the covers off me and I definitely couldn't get off the bed, and then, once I did, I screamed, ran to my parents' room and I don't think I spent many nights in that house ever again!
"There was definitely something in my parents' old house - I don't know what it was. I can't really explain it. But they got it blessed and they burned sage and stuff since then."*
*****************************************
Note: This is know as old hag syndrome, sometimes ISP for "isolated sleep paralysis. Sometimes there's just no rational explanation for it and it's happened to a lot of people. Their stories are quite interesting and frightening. Maybe the ghost just wanted an autograph.

I believe her. That has happened to me. Once in an apt I lived in when just married. I couldn't sleep & these little demonic things were pouncing at my face all night long & hopping on my bed. I was frozen with fear! I never told a soul! Not even my husband, who was right next to me. I thot I was insane. Then about 2 months into this, he turned to me one night & said "I'm scared"! I couldn't believe it! I wasn't insane! We both told each other our stories & he asked me why I didn't ever tell him, yadda-yadda...anyways, we moved. But I totally believe this story.

When I was young I had Satan standing at the side of my bed and starring at me.

Later it were some ghosts whispering in my ears.

But since I found out that it is just the brain going nuts, I am able to induce the feeling.

It helps that I can't fall asleep when I am laying plain on my back. I can go very far but not the last step. And in this state a lot of funny things can happen.

I am anon 8:18: My demons were hissing & kinda whispering at me too. Jumping & darting at my face & hissing. How can it be in my mind & the persons next to me, when I hadn't even told that person? And this went on for several months w/o my mentioning it. It was real, not my brain playing tricks. You cannot sleep.

exactly the same here, anon 9:22.

I avoid trying to sleep on my back because I know something freaky will happen.

I've had quite a few episodes of ISP my first one being when I was in my early 20's and they can be absolutely terrifying. I tried calling out to my husband but I couldn't get a word out just some strangled noises and I could not move and did not know where in my bed I was but I knew I was in my bed Like being trapped in a dream but you're not really sleeping. Just the strangest sensation and so hard to describe. I thought I was going to die or go insane. I sought medical help and it really helped when it was all explained to me by the doc. Mine would come only if I was really, really tired but had trouble falling asleep and also laying on my back. Haven't had one of those for years, touch wood. Brings back some bad memories but it's good to know I'm not the only one.

I have sleep paralysis all the time. So much that I expect it. I'm never on my back though. I always sleep on my side so I don't know what thats about. Most of the time I wait it out but sometimes it last so long I start to panic. It's weird & I don't know why or how it started but it's been going on for a few years now. I've never seen figures though.

I used to take care of an old woman and a few times when I slept in a certain bed in this house (a small one) I had a similar sensation. Not demons or whatever but like something (male) was holding me down and trying to get at me. Alternately in this bed I had a couple of nightmares about the same thing happening. It only happened in this bed, not anywhere else in the house. The woman used to talk in her sleep sometimes and one night she was crying out about something like this happening. Creepy. It never happened again after I stopped sleeping in the little bed.

I have had a series of similar things happen to me. The difference between my experience and those of the other readers is that I am able to scream. Really scream. Former flatmates of mine have pretty much been ready to send me off to the loony bin.

These days, whenever I move to a new house or stay in a new place I have a chat with the spirits before getting myself settled in. Call me crazy but that is actually what helps keep my sanity. I don't know if these things are only in my head or if it is real, but so far the "spirit chats" have always worked and I sleep peacefully.
