Heath Ledgers family, who handled his death with such dignity are now fighting over control of his estate. His dad is called a fuck up with money by uncles and dad claims the estate is worth less than 200 grand. But, that little Matilda will be take care of. NOW...relatives say Heath has another daughter fathered when he was only 17. How old would that make the kid now? I'm bad with math.

Anyhow, they all sound like sorry sonsabitches and Matilda will be taken care of by her quite successful mother. As for Heath, the dude can't even roll over in his grave because they cremated him.

Make a will
it makes no sense to me why Heath and Michelle did'nt they have Attys and managers to advise them.
Agreed!. A will takes care of that nonsense. My friends Dad died without one and her family turned it into a dogfight. His estate was dwindled by taxes and attornys figuring it out.
I always wondered why everyone was so worried about Matilda....Michelle is successful, they are not paupers. They will both be fine without a dime from Heath's estate. Now about this other child...it's been what... 11 years...,don't you think the mother of this child would have come forward loooong before now for some child support? Show me the DNA evidence.
That poor little girl of his, no father and now no money from his estate, because of selfish sobs. Its a shame, Michelle is No Heath Ledger( @ the box office)
I figured it wouldnt be long before someone out there claimed to have Heaths love child in hopes of cashing in. There are some fucked up money hungry assholes in this world. Sorry, but I think if it were true, they wouldve came forward long ago, like back when he started getting famous! And its not the point that Michelle has her own money to support Matilda, that little girl should have every right to her late fathers earnings, her, more than anyone deserves everything of his in my opinion.
Matilta is entiled to her fathers Money even if her mom earns a good living
I agree with you 100%
she need a trust fund you don't know life can be cut down for anyone at any time Michelle needs to fix this for her daughter and defintiy write her own will down , Wills are not only for where your money goes it also sets down who will take care of your child in case of death. Look at Anna Nicole Smith I don't think she left a current will either.
"Wills" can only do so much to prevent post mortem family bickering. Same goes for "trusts".
I've seen many families torn apart in the wake of a parent's death (including my own) because one or more of the heirs wasn't happy with the terms therein.
It's just a sad, sorry business... all around.
My g'ma left a will, a valid one. Left everything, house, cars, all her belonging to my brother. My mother came in and sold the house & all the belongings at auction away from him!!! And the judge told her she could, my brother was nearly 30 years old at the time & did not sign it over to her nor was he incapable of understanding. This cannot be explained to me, ever. Greed takes over, doesn't matter who it affects. She even took me to court 3x to get back gifts my g'ma had given me while she was sill alive! Didn't work! I heard she died a few ago...hmm.
*years*
Just for the record...Heath did leave a will, but, he had not amended it to include Michelle or Matilda.
sounds like Michelle better keep her kid away from those greedy people. And if he was only worth 200 grand, then his check for playing The Joker must not have cleared yet! Dayum! & won't there be residuals from his past movies when they play or a DVD is sold? That contimues inperpetuity, to his heirs.
why in the world does his parents have any say to that money anyway. he has a child (or children). if the will was outdated & listed his parents as getting everything, they should at least have the morals to give it to his daughter, wheather she needs it or not. my parents have a will stating that my aunt gets everything & custody of me & my sister because they havent changed it since we were little. i am 35 & my sister will be 40 in november. my mom was worried about the will not being changed. she thought my aunt could come in & take everything from me & my sister. since my grandfather passed away in october, leaving my mom to deal with everything, the attorney told her that even though the will states that, when me & my sister were not minors anymore, it became void in a way because it was stated for her to be in charge of us & our needs until we turned adults. so, i would think something like that would happen here. it isnt like you know when you are going to die & you get in to the attorney & say, well you know im gonna die in 2 weeks so i gotta change my will now. it just doesnt happen that way. i am sure the amount of wills left unchanged at a persons death is way higher than those that are updated.
isnt it funny how a loved one isnt so loved after death, but their property suddenly becomes loved?
it is absolutely disgusting.
