i completely agree with you! i especially liked him in klute, mash and the dirty dozen. even his most recent movies, which are usually not so good, i usually watch them only because he's in them. that's probably the only actor i do that for. love him! and my friends react the same way as yours, too...
The twinkly eyes, the voice, the tall, cool elegance...plus, much like Johnny Depp, he always looks like he's thinking naughty thoughts. Mmmmm...all that and Canadian too ;)
Ooh, he is kinda sexy. I have the hots for Hal Holbrook, so don't feel bad. I think it more of a "aww, what a cute old man!" crush, but every time that commercial for Fisher Investments comes on I shhsh Nathan and make him look at Hal Holbrook's hotness. :-)

I loved Donald when I was youg and he was old. Now, I'm old and he's ancient. Still love him.
Love him in The Dirty Dozen, Backdraft, The Italian Job and soooo many others. My kids in their 20's think he's the sh**.
