Nick Cage won his lawsuit against Kathleen Turner for saying in her dumb book that he was arrested twice for drunk driving and that he stole someones dog. She had to apologize, pay all his legal fees and donate to a charity of his choice. Told ya she was a big fat liar pants.

Please note that he only sued in the UK. There the libel laws are much stricter and it would have been impossible for Kathleen to prove her facts. If Cage had done the same in the US I'd be more willing to believe that Kathleen is the liar here...
I agree with 'Anon' above re: UK libel laws. And who the hell cares if he stole someone's dog.
I'm going to take my neighbors dog if they don't keep an eye on him. It runs across a busy street and has almost been squashed twice in my presence...I've said (and mean it) if it's in my yard one more time (meaning he's crossed that damn road again) he's going to go live at my friend's country house and never be seen again crossing that busy, dangerous street.
Maybe Nic was just saving someone's neglected pooch from a dismal end???

I wish we did have stricter libel laws. Good for him, what goes around comes around.
