Bird won't talk to the coppers

I love this story..an African Grey Parrot was rescued by the police on a rooftop near Tokyo. Lost and alone, the grand bird was taken to the police department, but, apparently he wouldn't talk to the police. He was turned over to a local vet and after a few days, decided the guy was alright and started yapping.
*
"I'm Mr. Yosuke Nakamura," the bird told the veterinarian. The parrot also provided his full home address, down to the street number, and even entertained the hospital staff by singing songs.
*
The staff tracked down his overjoyed owners from the information the bird provided. Yosuke is safely back home now where he belongs. And people think pets are dumb!

I heard about this parrot. I was impressed with the foresight of the owner, but even more impressed with the parrot. I've seen a lot of National Geographic-type programs on TV about parrots. They're remarkably bright little critters, and every now and then, I'm tempted to add one to my family. It'd probably drive my cats crazy, though. Ah well, maybe one day when I have a bigger place.
