Why you should tip your waitress. AND not fuck with your waitress.

Never EVER mess with the people that handle your food. Never EVER send something back to the kitchen either. That is free game for some ex-con turned short order cook to flick a booger in your meal or rub his dick on your now overcooked steak - I have seen this happen as a server myself.
As a server I have also put a little of my own spit in a drink or two or stuck my nasty dirty finger in something to get even - it's gross and childish but in the moment it made me feel better.
I don't work with the public anymore so ya'll are safe from my form of getting even with idiots that thought I was working to be their personal slave.
Works both ways. There have been a couple of times when we've gotten poor service and bitchy waitresses and we were still cool with it. We all have bad days.
I think if I'm paying for my steak to be well done no pink, then that's how it should be, and I am entitled to have it sent back if it's still mooing. It's fair, I'm paying, I expect my service done properly. That said, a friend of my husband's is a waitress worst nightmare. He is the bitchiest man alive. He once sent TOAST back to the kitchen because it wasn't properly buttered. A friggin piece of TOAST!!!!! I seriously hope they sent the toast back covered in jizz.
Being a server is pretty thankless work. I was constantly amazed at the times where I have less then good service and got a great tip while other times I busted my ass and got stiffed - some people just don't have a clue about eating out. If you're not going to treat your server with respect and can't afford the tip then stick to ordering drive-thru from the clown's mouth.

I never got irritated over someone sending food back if it wasn't right. My tip depended on them being happy.
Oh, but, I did get irritated if they blamed ME for it and stiffed me. The waitress does NOT cook your food.
