I'm sorry...but why do blacks HAVE to have fancy assed labels on their clothes & accessories? They all do it. I have seen kids walking around with the price tags hanging out, on purpose just so you can see how much a basketball jersey cost!!! Hundreds!!! Maybe they stole it! Who knows. hi anon 5:05 .... im gonna say something and im probably gonna get all kindsa peeps crawlin up my ass for it saying im a racistect... im not, BUT i do have a theory and its not to do with race.... ok i think this love and "gotta show" thing (some) blacks have for designer shit, even if its fake, stems from a loooooong history of being poor and not having been able to afford the high end shit. then came rap and what they all wear and that kinda sealed it.
i have a russian friend who emigrated here in the early ninties, and she grew up under that old communist regime... their trick was that even tho they were "poor" (by standars in the west) and had virtually no access to anything "class" or "desinger" they always tried their best to lok good with what they had... they sewed their own stuff after sneaking a peek at a western fashion magazine ect.... so when i wore jeans one day with a hole in the knee, my russian friend just about took a shit!!! shes like "oh my god! how can you go around looking like a pauper"!??? bla bla bla....
i was laughing it off but having understood what she came from, i could basically understand.... i think it might just be something along those lines for blacks as well. a kind of "noveau riche" `tude going there.
but yeah shit shit is shit no matter how expensive it is.... theres NO accounting for some peeps tastes!!

I don`t know why but in Japan(where the average person is hardly eating out of garbage bags) esp. in Tokyo, younger men with a real versace or armani suit (ni knockoff) will actually take the label from the inside coller off and re-sew it onto the outside wrist of the jacket.
I guess it`s like a status thing... alot of Japanese can tell a fake from the real thing,as they are very very quality,designer and fashion conscience. The younger men are probably just "making sure" other know damn well who/what they`re wearing. Bizarre, but another example, there ya go.
