Here's Bettie doin' her thing

Just scandalous, isn't it?! She knew how to work it. She also designed her own costumes.

She's showing more than Barbara Eden was allowed to on "I dream of Jeannie"...which makes me think, Betty's costume here looks alot like Jeannies did! Hmmm????

All that was when I was very, very young.
I remember the genre, because I caught the tail end of it.
By the time I was a teen, Playboy was becoming more fashionable and the pulp "dirty" books/magazines were beginning to disappear.
"Dirty" meant exciting.
I saw an "art" film in the early sixties.
At the very end, there was a nipple!
Oooohh!
...but, I was 13, so....

Almost sweet 'n innocent by today's standards. With her expressive eyes and her girlish exubererance, it's easy to see how she captivated a nation.

Betty was a precious jewel and she will indeed be missed.

I can remember going to my Dad's office when I was young. But I was never able to go in the warehouse. His reason was I was a "little girl" and I might get hurt. I just couldn't see how stacks of boxes could hurt me in the warehouse but couldn't hurt me when they were being shipped. So I was determined to solve the mystery. When I found out it was about the pin-ups, I was a little let down. I really thought it was something more exciting.

But since then I've been intrigued we her "life story". I've heard her story told many different ways, but I like to think she was a "good" girl who took "bad" pictures. She still intrigues me.
