I watched Jon and Kate Gosselin's "giving back" episode last night. I was just determined I was going to say something nice about the freeloaders, like, who cares if it's obvious damage control as long as they helped some kids, but....damn. Look in the wagon. I thought, there is no way that goofy woman gave her book "Multiple Blessings" to sick children as a gift. I thought it was for the moms to read while they waited there with their kids. Nope. Wrong again, Disher. She actually handed that thing to sick little kids. "Merry Christmas kid, be sure and read the chapter about my fertitlity issues!"*
The Gosselin family "bought" gifts at K-Mart, toys for the children in the hospital. Then Kate seemed a little angry that she wouldn't be actually giving those presents on camera. She was informed the gift drive is for parents of patients and that the parents would pick from donated gifts at Christmas. You could tell Kate wasn't happy about that. She also let one of her own girls whine until she bought HER a gift. An Elmo thing. She didn't buy any of her other kids anything. That was really weird. All this was supposed to teach her kids something. I don't know what that was though. If you whine enough, you get free toys? Or, mommy has her favorites and ta hell with the rest of you? Anyway, the freeloading Gosselins got another high pay episode out of it and plugged her book..and that's what giving is all about.

Plugging K-fucking Mart & the GD book DD. That was the mission and it was accomplished. Blatant self advertising. They are so transparent. I could never watch this show again after reading your posts. I love the reality show called "Flipping Out" on Bravo. Now THERE's a sick & twisted individual! & I love every minute! & yet I know much of it is also fakery if not all. At least Jeffrey is vicious and he "owns" it.
This episode made me so mad! That woman can't be happy about a damn thing!
Oh, I'm sure those sick kids were jumping up and down about their stupid book THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN WRITE, her signature and a book of stickers!!!! I hate these two with the heat of a blazing November sun (which is where I want them to plant their new plastic chairs for all eternity). And then the bitch had the nerve to say "Now we didn't do this episode to pat ourselves on the back". No, you did it to earn another, what, $75,000. I'm furious this is still on the air at all. Kate is twisted and Jon, well, he's just sad.

Oh, why the pretense that this is anything but a big infomercial and the Gosselin clan are just actors for the greedy corporations that get a bargain hawking their wares by using this "reality" show as their advertising vehicle. Apparently as long as the corporations (including St. Judes) is making $$$ none of them care if those children end up screwed up for the rest of their existences. Not that I can imagine with a mom like Kate their lives ever would have been all that great anyways.
This was just the precursor to the upcoming episode where they move into their 1.3 million dollar mansion - distraction tactic -- throw sparkly CD's, books and coloring books from the latest movie they've contracted to hawk(Despereaux) over that way to the sick kids and perhaps you won't see that huge cloud of greed that follows them around.
Sickening - they used the children of St. Jude's just like they have used every other person in their lives - their heads for stepping stones on their way up the social and economic ladder.
