Trans-America is a movie with Felicity Huffman about a trans-gendered male who drive his(her) son across the country. Its a pretty good movie - check it out if you get a chance.

I think that's just the difference between a good one and a half hour of make up, and a bit of an unfortunate candid... Ditch the glasses though :)
