I may be taking this domestic violence PSA in the wrong spirit. I'm supposed to be troubled by it, right? Domestic violence isn't funny, even if it IS Keira Knightley! No really, it's hard enough for women to get taken seriously on this without people making out it's just a huge joke.
I actually thought the bit was well done and very captivating. Whether you like Ms. Knightly or not, this is a PSA that needs to be shown at every middle school, high school, and college campus across the nation. Domestic violence is a huge problem and needs to be addressed. Rihanna will probably now go and get a pair of BOOTS tattooed on her ass!
It is a little weird watching it in a british accent, but given that this issue is a huge problem, it's not something to joke about.

Actually, I would have said the same thing. I'm a little sick of these violence awarness vids by celebs. Someone needs to just talk about where people can get help, not make this drama shit. Shame on Keira and yay crabbie. So there.

It is an awareness vid, but also asks for people to donate. If there were no donators, then there wouldn't BE anywhere for the victims to go.

Keira is a bad casting with her well known attitute and vids like this do nothing to help. The beaters (and hell, its not only men who beat up women. Lesbians have a fat violence problem too) don't care, the victims get either reminded of their blight or ignore it too. And the general population? Why should they care about Bitch Knightly if they quietly ignore the black eyes and bruises of their neighbours wife?
Donations - well that is a valid point. But how many people will donate after such a video? Hm? And how does it compare to the money pumped by state into this help-'agencies'?
