Beebers in the flowers

I took BeeBee out in the garden this morning, (Lis is still sleeping) and she likes the potted plants, but, she doesn't like the yard. She gets scared. She follows me everywhere and hangs onto my ankle, begging me to pick her up. She likes riding on my shoulder out there, but, she's just not an outdoor girl. Probably smart of her considering the evil cats. I lined the bottom of her cage with Clover and she enjoyed that. She loves the plant smells when she's safe in her own house.

Yeah, she's really sweet though. She's a cuddle bug and loves everyone. She's just a cutie and I lub her. Sometimes she sleeps with me.

rats after a certain age aren't adventurous anymore. They love their 'home' and are not fans of being somewhere else. Small changes are ok, but too much new stuff scares them.

And be carefull with that potted plants - a lot plants are poisonous - and that little domestic guys (and gals) are pretty stupid about that stuff...

Rats give me the creepies also....but hey I gotta tell ya..... your nail polish matches perfectly with your flip flops hahaha.... :)

It's a sweet potato. Forget rats, a lot of people are stupid about plants.

Hmm, after all of your posts about beebee (bebee?) it has certainly changed my perception of rats. I thought them to be horrible rodents before, and now they don't seem so bad. And who knew they were so smart? I'll still keep my distance tho :P

I still hate wild rats, not only are they smart, they're mean. Bad combination. But, a rat you raise thinks of you as it's family. Beebee would no more bite us than a family dog would.

I grew up by the river and had to deal with water rats. Those are nasty fuckers too.
But your furbaby is nice. Not saying I would give up my feline companions for a rodent, but I see how you love her.

I live in Iowa. Cornfields=rodents. Everyone deals with them, rich, poor, new house, old..it makes no difference here. BeeBee got in trouble last winter for making friends with a small wild rat. She fed it, I watched her drop it food. I finally caught it and took it out to the river.

Is Beebee your familiar?

No. She's my pet. I have no familiar. I do make fetches though. Not often.

So cute! My cousin had a rat that she would let run around loose in her apartment. She had a couch that was old and she would let Cleopatra chew on the insides. She wouldn't chew the new couch though. She would come to you when you called her name, smart little thing.
