Baby's Breath in the morning

That Baby's Breath is pretty, it's the best 3 cents I ever spent. Yep, the Dollar General had the seeds marked down to 3 cents a pack. All I did was open the packs and throw them in the Marigolds. I got a bunch for next year too. There's also something that mimics Baby's Breath in there. One is Flea Bane and I don't know what the other is, but, I didn't plant them. It's like that former junk pile just wanted to be a flower bed. Maybe it had been dreaming of being a flower bed and saving it's own little dreams.

I've been thinking about this story telling thing and I'm enjoying the response and the fact that I have some things written down now, but, I have lots of true stories. I mean you can't have a family like mine and come from where I've come from without lots of crazy moments. We ALL have stories, but, I think mine move into the bizarre range because my whole family is seriously nuts, even the one's I like. And I am not untouched by the crazy myself.

It's not like I think I escaped the genetic wack a doodle gene, but, my sort of crazy is not the kind that's dangerous. Generally. I have lots of stories about the Iowa YaYa's. I should change that to something else, if I'm going to seriously write about these women who dominated my life, I shouldn't rip off the name. Maybe you guys can come up with something.

There were men too, who shaped what I have become, but, in general those stories aren't amusing. They are terrifying and I don't know if I can write them down without consequences to my psyche. Not that I'm delicate, I think we all know better than that, but, some of them are pretty bad and if I am to tell the truth, which I have so far, I don't know where it will go.

My Father was a genius, he had an IQ that would astound people. He was talented and witty and very charming. He was also a diagnosed Schizophrenic and at times, one of the most horrifying figures in my history. In our whole family's history and that's saying a lot. He spent many years in prison for shooting his ex wife and her mother in a rage induced ambush and when he got out of prison, he met my Mother. He was older and handsome and dapper and stunned her with his wit. She was young and beautiful and fresh off the Guntown farm and not very bright. That's a fact. She never got any brighter, there isn't a pill for that. He died in prison not too long ago for the same sort of things he always did. Some murder charge, which makes me shake my head that he got away with it for so long. I could bring up murders never solved, but, what good would it do anyone now? He's dead. And I'm glad he's dead. There's some stories there though. Definitely.

Which brings me back to the rest of them. Oh, my, where to start? I think I may have to start changing names or I'm going to have some real family trouble here. They will find me. There's got to be an obscure cousin in the wood pile who has a computer and a printer, so I may need to change some names and try and pass it off as fiction. That's a shame because the real names, as you can see from the last story, are so much better than anything I can invent. My Mothers name is Louella and my evil aunt is named Juanita. My Grandmother was Prairie Flower, known as Rosie. See? Where in my brain could I invent such crazy grand names?

I have some tentative titles..The Lard Eater..The Day Jesus Drove The Van...He Drank Bleach As A Baby...The Queen Of The Roller Skating Rink....Mail Order Husband Number Three...Romance Novels Buy Second Hand Vegas. Just a few of the hundreds to chose from. I'll just pick one and start, I guess. I just don't really know what I'm doing, but, it's fun and people seem to like it and that's enough reasons to do it. Thanks for the encouragement.
