Court House

The tower got damaged in a fire awhile back, but, it's been repaired. The museum claimed the original clock, which got taken out after the fire. It works and they charge you a dollar to go in and see it now. Which really pisses me off. They had a fund raiser where they sucked $17,000 out of the town's people to replace the old clock and if that's a $17,000 dollar clock, I'll kiss your ass right here in the town square. They should have put the old clock back, but, they're nosey old crooks who call themselves "history preservers" and I hope they read this. Biddies! I like the court yard though, I go over there to sit on a bench and have smoke breaks at work. It has lots of nice trees and flowering shrubs. The public bathroom is in the basement and it's haunted by a former bathroom attendant. I guess in the old days all proper public bathrooms had an attendant paid for by the town. I didn't know that until I met her and it was confirmed by old timers. She's very sweet.

Wow! That is a pretty impressive building. Very imposing. Is your town really called Guntown? If so, why.

Gontown is the real name of my neighborhood. The decrepit part of town.

Oh, and it's called that because it's rough and people used to get mad and shoot each other a lot. They don't do that so much now. Once in awhile. The last three gunshot deaths in Guntown were suicides. One guy shot himslelf last week, in the head, but, he hasn't died yet. I heard it though, it was behind me.

They'll have to rename the place after Obama throws out the 2nd Amendment and sends the Army to collect everyone's weapons.

Reminds me of Back to the Future!
The old courthouse with the clock in the middle of the square, in the movie.

Oh, yeah. I guess I never paid attention.

Crabbie, just who do you think is going to surrender their weapons? That's just silly.

I like those kind of buildings and stores. That is a pretty little town. I know what you mean about the stalkers. They are looking me up as we speak, that is OK cause there are a million Lisa knights in the state of KY. They think they know my real info, but I am not stupid enough to give out everything on my real self. As you said DD, let them work for it.

Lisa, what in hell do they think they're going to do anyhow? Most of them live in their mom's basement and spend their welfare check on meth, like IdiddlyWeHop. Once in awhile I get a Jesus pamphlet in the mail. Wow, hurt me.

You haven't been to the museum in a long time. They charge you 3 dollars now.

Lisa, I grew up in KY too. Love it.

I love old courthouses like that. They always seem to look the same no matter where you live. They always have a certain smell too. It's different than school and library smells but still distinctive.

It's beautiful Lovely. Our town square has a clock tower on the court house too. The time is always right too. So, I know when I'm running late to work! Yikes! Your courthouse looks more southern & colonial. Ours is modeled after the Big Ben clock tower in London and looks like it. Just smaller scale. Its a landmark that people dont forget. Your looks very well restored. We just had ours restored a few years ago because glass was breaking in windows way up high & falling on people! For real! During the Pork Festival (I know, insert joke here) glass broke in a high window & fell on my sister in law. They had to get all new windows & fix the roof, restored everything. It's great to see yours. Its fab.
