Yellow Dolls and Sugar Babies..most fit in the palm of your hand. Small and sweet, which I like. The trouble with melons is, they all get ripe at the same time. So, I gave a lot away. But, they're good and they were fun to grow and I'm going to grow them again next year. That poor old table took a beatin' this Summer. It's covered in Mulberry stains, campfire smoke and Walnut hull gunk. I found it on trash day though, and it sure was handy.

They are beautiful but I have to admit it. I dislike watermelon. I really do not like any melons. If I have some in a salad, I might eat a piece or two but it would never be my first choice.
My family on the other hand..Pat, if we lived close..they would be knocking on your door every couple of days for another one of those small water babies.
I love those things. I could eat them all day. I love canteloupe too. do you grow those too? Dag, I want that now
mmmm, love watermelon!
Is it seedless?
I have been known to eat a whole seedless watermelon in 1 sitting. Once I start I can't stop. I especially like it with salt on it. :)
DD, You're not going to believe this, but My tomatoes are only the size of golf balls and still very green. The corn (not mine, the Michigan corn) just came out this week, and we still haven't got our cherries yet. The cherry festival was back in early July, and they had to ship them in. A very late season here! However, it's been a great summer. I've only had to use my AC 2x all summer. Crazy how different things are from your area to mine. Those melons are so cute!
I got cantelopes too, but, they're nothing to brag on.
Great source of quick sugar that your body can digest and metabolize quickly. Our gut recognizes honey, maple syrup and fruit sugars instantly because they are unrefined whole foods. Same as nuts and good fats that transform into energy quickly.
It's a pleasure to see you eat what you grow and enjoy it with Lissa. Makes for good memories that last forever, right?.
