NEW YORK – Johnson & Johnson's McNeil unit is voluntarily recalling 57 lots of infants' and children's liquid Tylenol products because of possible bacterial contamination.
The products being recalled were made between April and June and include nearly two dozen varieties, including Children's Tylenol Suspension 4 oz. Grape, Infants' Tylenol Grape Suspension Drops 1/4 oz. and Children's Tylenol Plus Cold/Allergy 4 oz. Bubble Gum.

Tylenol has a website where you are supposed to be able to get more information, but, when I go there it has "Learn which products are recalled" and when I click it I get nothing. A big pop up is blocked and the other option is a page telling me how great Tylenol is. That's just totally irresponsible. Who the hell is in charge there?

I had the same problem w/ the Tylenol site. Found an article from LA Times saying to got to the site & click on "for Healthcare Professionals", read the letter, it has the list. They can't make anything easy for parents : (

The pop-up has a complete list of all that are being recalled. Here is a copy/paste job of that page. Feel free to delete my post if you don't need the info, because it's quite long.
You may have heard that McNeil Consumer Healthcare (the makers of TYLENOL®) is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products that were manufactured between April, 2008 and June, 2008. All products manufactured met internal specifications. However, the company is implementing this recall because during this period, an unused portion of one inactive ingredient did not meet all quality standards. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, it was decided to recall all Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products listed below, which were made during this time.
Parents and caregivers who have questions or concerns should contact their child's health care provider or our consumer call center at 1-800-962-5357 (available Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time). Consumers can find the lot numbers on the bottom of the box containing the liquid product and also on the sticker that surrounds the product bottle. The lot numbers of the affected products are listed below.
These actions do not apply to Children's TYLENOL® Meltaways and Junior Strength TYLENOL® Meltaways. The voluntary recall applies only to select lots of Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products.

I hate to hear things like this...human error is something that is difficult to manage. And with production trying to cut corners more of this kind of thing will happen. Happens in healthcare all the time...the Quaid twins is a prime example. Hospital errors are more prevalent than AIDS and breast cancer...scary huh.
Fiona, well at least it's also overpriced. We can be thankful for that.
Pat, I was able to get the list on the website after I allowed the pop up box: http://www.tylenol.com/generic.jhtml?id=tylenol/news/subpchildinfantnews.inc
Needless to say I checked every single bottle I have and was relieved to find out mine weren't on the list. I usually give my son Motrin since he is over six months (one year on October 12!) for his teething. We have a few parents of younger children in the office and I made sure each of them got a list. It's terrible that this affects the most innocent.
Also check any samples that were given to you at your pediatrician's office. We had several samples at our office that were recalled and we had to contact patients.
Is it also generic formula to? I just got a bottle of inf tyl at wal-mart about almost a month ago. I wounder if I should just throw it out?
Thank you for posting this. I was about to give some to my 4 month old yesterday before his Dr. appointment. Luckily ours wasn't recalled, but I feel bad for anyone who gave some to their baby. Scary.
