The stores have the Halloween candy out already, I bought a bag of Laffy Taffy. The joke's on the kids, they're not getting it. The wrappers all have a ghoulish character now. A strawberry becomes a bat, a banana is a ghost..the grapes are still just grapes but with a hat on. I guess grapes aren't scary. But, there's a holiday joke on every package. There was one good one so far..Why do demons and ghouls hang out together? Because demons are a ghouls best friend. Bwaa ha. I doubt any kid would get that though. How many first graders do you know who are Monroe fans? That's okay, still good. The biggest joke of all is on the back of the wrapper. It says, for nutritional information call 1-800-504-4018. Really. There are people who need to know the nutritional info on Laffy Taffy. Seriously? Who are these people? I hope I never meet them.

I bought Syd a gummy hand! It's about the size of a 6 years olds hand and it's all scary looking! They also had those saucer communion wafer candies at Walgreen's. I also got some Zot's. I ate one and gave the rest to her. Alka Seltzer candy isn't as fun as I remember.
