TV's worst moms
Who doesn't love Betty Draper? She wears stylish retro clothes, always has her hair done and smokes and drinks while she's pregnant. She also hates her son and locks her kids in closets. She gets my vote. I hate that chick from Weeds, she reminds me of someone I know. HERE's the article, and who do you vote as worst TV mom and who would you add and why? This should be fun. If I can add a bad TV mom from the past..Peg Bundy. She made her kids eat toaster crumbs for dinner.
I can't vote cause I have no clue who any of those women are. Guess I don't watch enough TV. But it was a cute story. DD, you had/still have a fucked up mother and look how well you turned out.
Haven't watched it for a while so maybe it's changed, but most of the women on "Desperate Housewives" were pretty shitty mothers, especially Lynette, who let her bratty sons walk all over her.

Worst Mom? How about Estelle Parsons on "Roseanne" as Roseanne's mother? She was pretty crappy.
"Oh, if you don't pay attention to me I might start drinking." I loved the scene when Rosie kicked her out of the house.

My vote would be for Edie from Absolutely Fabulous. She was a wretched mother all around. Poor Sapphi.
Hmmmm I will have to vote for Sami Brady from DOOL. I love Sami, but, she keeps popping out kids and leaving them with other people to go after her flavor of the day.
Soap opera moms are the worst. Pop the kid out, leave it with the nanny, and then it's off to boarding school until the kid is old enough to have a love interest.

I disagree, soap opera moms are actually pretty extraordinary. I've seen them give birth, and two years later the kid was in college. They have to be doing something right to have such prodigal children.

How about Endora from Bewitched? She was always popping in causing trouble for Samantha. Of course if my daughter married a nerd like Darren I'd butt in too.
I knew Peg Bundy, but I don't know any of the others. I just looked up Betty and am still laughing.
Mad Men is produced by Lionsgate in North Vancouver, BC - I'm here too and have noticed they produce a lot of really good stuff.
Estelle Parsons as Roseanne's mom..I'd forgotten about her. OMG, that bitch.
And I don't think I turned out good. I turned out fucked up which I still am.

Malcolm in the Middle Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) maybe not a BAD mom in fact kind of like her motherly way, her sarcastic torture type of punishments :) How about Doris Roberts in Everyone Loves Raymond Marie she showed true favortism, outspoken and pushed her opinions meddled no one could do things like Marie.

I love how she was always wanting to do things right, and how the boys would find a way around her always. I love that show. Poor Lois got played by Hal, when she thought he got snipped....
