And continuing the days theme of no common sense, here is The Home (less?) Duvet from Dutch By Design, a UK-based company which stylishly mimics the pavement and cardboard boxes homeless people are forced to sleep in. Oh, those homeless people, gawd, they're so hilarious! Maybe Dutch By Design can team up with Real Dolls and create a companion bed piece of a rubber homeless person dressed in rags who's been frozen to death. Ahh ha ha! So clever!

Who in their right mind would buy that?
It's such a stupid idea to begin with.
Only rich college kids or young yuppies would buy this crap. Let me buy a over priced bed, so I can show my pompous ass friends how cool I am.
Whats next? A $1,000 toilet in the shape of a cardboard box or expensive ratty clothes for your children. Hey maybe sell perfume that smells like urine for $100 an ounce.
That's just plain disgusting.
It's okay, homeless people aren't offended. They don't have the internet.
Where's the embossed chewed gum design? The cigarette butts applique? Newspaper sheets? What... no rodent tracks?
Homogenized homelessness.... for the wealthy, because ya know... if it's 'designer' it can't be that bad. And if it's not that bad then it becomes invisible.
I agree with bored that will be rich people who buy this, thinking it's funny and a novelty.
When I see things like this I realize what good reasons poorer countries have to hate those of us who live in first world countries. They must think we are all horribly insensitive assholes. I felt the same the other day when I saw an ad for toilet paper. It was about this family who was on a road trip, and every time they stopped somewhere to use the bathroom they brought in their own brand-name toilet paper. It just made me sick. What, now people are too good to wipe their precious rear ends with toilet paper that's not their most favorite brand? The whole attitude is so disgustingly spoiled.
That's awful!
LOL @ Crabbie though!
Derelique!
What, no vomit pillows? Think hope coorful they can be!
OK...uh..that is just weird.
I am also LOL at crabby....
That looks very comfortable. But then I'm used to sleeping on a bed of dead birds and leaves.
Sounds like the plot to "Zoolander". Mugatu wanted to get Derek Zoolander to model his new fashion line called "Derelicte" which was ripped off from the homeless. This is not new. Wow. This is almost mean spirited to me, unless profits are used to help the homeless, I see no purpose to this.
rox
Calling Ikea.. Why did'nt they think of this first?
They should use all this in Rich camp.. Camp out in the stars in style. Smells of pavement and garbage as you lay down.
