Happy hooters

Aww, those are pretty cute. I wonder if they're happy to be out of that old dusty box?

Those are awesome!! Have just been decorating the house with my two kids and wish I could find such a treasure. Unfortunately, we have a lot of "Made in China" crap that is no longer working... time to get more decorations or get the kids to make some of their own.

Or pays a meth tweaker 20 bucks to do steal them.

C'mon, she's too lazy to do it herself!

so neat! You have inspired me again...I even went to the fabric store for some cool material to drape on the mantel with orange lights below and creepy things on top. I have some left. I'll email you.

"Those patio lanterns they were the stars in
the sky. " Kim Mitchell Canadian singer
DD :) I'm so glad the surjury was a complete
success ! They are already out and about
flying high in the sky lighting up our lives.
Lissa must be thrilled ! I admire the way you
can fix it first before tossing it out and buying
a new set of lights. They certainly do not make
vintage owl lights like that anymore. You can
decipher what is a treasure / keeper as oppossed
to the junk collector you have next door. Kiki

I love the lights. I have been getting more in the mood for decorations myself and bought a ghost for the tree which ended up hanging in the house...Shay~Shay says Hi Ghost every morning, Nigh Ghost every evening she even sends the ghost to the corner along with the moon.

Love them, Pat. I've seen some really funky lights at campgrounds, but I don't recall owls.

Having vintage lights adds meaning to your decorations. I really like your owls, and I bet little Lissa is dancing around with joy!

Have fun. Lissa is what your life is all about. I'm so happy she has you.

Love the little Hooters. Lis will be so happy when she sees them. Hope you have them wired to fry any asshole that tries to touch em.

Yep, they came out pretty nice...for owls. Thanks for finding them on eBay, Peg. Geez louise! $65 dollars a string?? And I have two strings, plus replacements. I paid 5 bucks for the whole box at a junk store.

I can't wait to see what all you guys put up for the holiday.

Coyote said...

I'll be that since yours are vintage, DD, that they are worth a lot more than $65. per string. The value really lies in the joy you and Lissa derive from them.
