The dress is cute, the hair is adorable, the face is very close to being erased..but, the arms! Arms don't bend that way. The forearms in no way match the upper arms and is she Gumby? Is she made of rubber now? Tommy would like that if she has a rubber dick to match. Don't photgraphers take photos anymore? Why is the world composited? Just take a GD photo and erase the zits..what they hell? That is not human.

she does look good. The arms are strange & no need to do that. Im sure her own arms are skinny too. Whats the deal? Why cant we see her real arms? Its just weird. Maybe the editors are messing with her & us. Trying to see who notices? Seriously. Theres no other reason to do this. Its like a "Whats wrong with this Picture" puzzle.

Hi Pat & Rox,
They have to justify a salary for the people enhancing the pics. I think it's dumb. My brother showed me some 70's Playboy mags and it put it all in perspective. If I was a photographer I'd be pissed at these people for distorting my work.
Have you seen Kelly Clarkson's photoshop jobs?-my kids laugh at it. Absurd!.
I often wonder what Katie and Tom's relationship is like. Fake as it seems, how do they relate to each other?, is their most intimate moment sharing high heeled shoes?, or extra hypnosis and religious torture?.
Jarhead
I do love her haircut on this cover though. If only I could have a do like that!
Mags
Unfortunately the "haircut" is probably 'shopped too.
What it all boils down to is that most celebrities-- particularly A-listers-- have final say on the shots and unless they look unattainably supernatural they won't sign off on the final images.
It's sad, but that's where we're at and it's not about to change any time soon.
On the radio today they were saying that the artist used Photoshops "Human tool" to make her look real.
Those arms. WTF??
You'd think celebs would realize that by now, everybody knows about photoshop, and nobody believes they really look their photoshopped images. Then again, celebs are pretty delusional, so maybe they they really do think the great unwashed public actually believes they look the same way they do on these silly magazine covers.
I'm sick of photoshopping. I think it is so stupid and obvious. It's also distracting. When I look at magazine covers I barely even notice outfits or makeup anymore because I'm too busy saying "What the hell is up with those arms?" or "How come her neck looks so long?"
As for Katie, I doubt she got any say in what this cover looked like. I'm sure Tom signed everything when it was to his liking and Kate stood there meekly and mumbled, "Whatever you say, honey."
I didn't really see the big problem with photoshop when it was used to remove a couple zits or change colours to make the pic. more appealing.
However, NOW, this nonsense the fucking industry is doing really pisses me off. They don't fricking photoshop anymore, they distort every damn thing and God knows how many little girls and looking at those image and thinking "why am I not as perfect as that".
Who the hell gives you the right to mold my damn body in some "idealic" image you have in your head.
I think celebrities should insist that on how much photoshopping is allowed on their image, or refuse to do the magazine. Especially those hypocrites that preach "we are all beautiful' but still want 20 pounds shaved off their image.
Good catch! Lol...that's actually comical when you think about it.
And all these young girls look at those pics and want to look just like that when they don't even look like that!!!
I dare them all to just take a pix with a
cellphone and we would see what they really
look like. I'm just gonna do that right now and
send it to your email DD. Just to prove a point.
Composite and Photoshop make me sick ! :-/
no wonder so many young lil girls have a poor
body Image it's all this B S from the advertisers !
Fashion Designers ! Beauty mags! Cosmo !
What a bunch of crap. Dove soap has a real
women campaign up here that addresses that
very touchy topic BDD body dismorphic disorder.
Real woman have curves and are beautiful in
all shapes and sizes and age is not a factor to me !

Kiki-a few years ago there was actually a TV special called "Stars without makeup!" that did pretty much what you said-they gathered a bunch of close-up paparazzi photos of celebs looking "normal" and put them on a TV special. Not surprisingly, most of the stars who were set to be on the show threw tantrums about how unfair it was and tried to keep the special from being aired. I think it ended up airing though.
Oh crap, why do they bother doing this?
We've already seen the real Kate, do they think we're stupid or that we just want to see them rework another tired celeb?
I guess all celebs can be flattered into believing the public can't tell the difference or they wouldn't be recycling the same ones on the covers of like 8 different magazines.
