Ohhhh, banging head now

Are you kidding me? I finally got the extension cords hooked up and well hidden and realized I got white light strings. Sigh.......frick! Maybe they'll look okay in the dark. Which is a philosophy I had when I still dated. That never worked out either.
*
And I knew I couldn't decorate without the old lady over here throwing in her two tarded cents. I need to get drunk.

Ya think, Tia? Okay..I'm weary of it now. Now the old lady wants lights. Crazy bitch is out there trying to find a cord that will hook into mine. I'm like wtf? And she just dumped a skanky box of old lights in front of my door. Half broken, older than hell and none of them match. WTF am I supposed to do with this crap. See? That's the way she is..can't just go buy some. Oh noooo. Gotta use shit.

Bailey's....or Jack.

some of the lights i put out have the white wire....in the dark you notice the lights, not the wire and with some snow, viola! no wire worries!!

take those broken bits, toss 'em in the trash and put out some new ones....say you fixed the old! and she can use her own damn electricity for xmas lights!!

Nissa said...

I am with miss tia. In the snow you will never see the wires!

I plugged in one of her ancient light strings for the hell of it..it works, but, it's those old big bulbs that get red hot. Should I put it on her roof? LMAO!

Burn your tongue till you can't taste, then swill vodka till the world starts skipping like a bad DVD.

Bailey's or Kahlua in your coffee. Then you can walk around and pretend you're Kate Gosselin with her ever present coffee cup.
.... but it does make the coffee good ;)

SOuthern comfort! Sloe gin fizzes! Wine coolers! WOOHOOOO
Throw that old light crap away, it is probably not safe!!

Once you get sloshed enough all booze will not taste like booze, just a matter of getting past the first few throw backs. CHI-CHI's, lemon drops, cinnamon schnaubs, any tropical drink.

Passion fruit or Mango flavored Rum with 7-Up. Yummy like Kool-Aid.

Baileys..remind me to pick some up. I remember I could stand it in coffee. Long long ago. It's worth a try. Hey, maybe I can become an alchy! Wooooot.

Oh, Tia, I'll bet that's awesome comming back up. Oh, nasty.

Old string of red-hot bulb lights. Hmmm. Sounds like the "beautiful death-trap" house might need to be decorated this year? Under the guise of beautifying the neighborhood you might get lucky and lose the eye sore at the same time. :)

Alcoholic lemonade is good and doesn't taste too boozy.

Arbor Mist-tastes like juice.

All hard liquor, wine and beer tastes like stale vomit and kerosene. You can't fool me. I found a lint covered vicoden in the bottom of my purse.

Oh, I got her lights up too. Some of my yellow around her door, with garland and muti color in her window boxes. Done. All she said was "It looks nice." Which was awesome, usually she says, "Nice, but, I wouldn't use that color, or those bulb, or 100 other shitty things. She must have figured out she's pretty picky for someone who's four foot tall and won't spend a dollar on it.

DD;
I can't believe you did that for her. You never cease to amaze (and humble) me.

Clarabel said...

Whatever gave her the impression that you would even think about doing anything for her. Why can't she pay the "boys" to do her bidding? Are they only good enough for the "dirty work"?

Pat, dip your fingers into whatever paint you have, you're an artist. Run them down the cords, you have green cords.

And for me, rum and coke.

I'm glad you have a babe to decorate for. Cherish it.

I stopped years ago.

Pat, I feel that previous post I made came out sounding worse than I wanted it. I sounded nasty and depressed, which I am this time of year, for many reasons. Instead of deleting it, I wanted to apologize. I rebooted the computer on my way to bed, just to say: I hope I didn't sound stern and horrible.

You can paint the cords, and sweet Lissa won't know. ;)

PS: Drink some "liquid candy". Have some amaretto!! Drink it from a cordial goblet. It's fancy that way & more fun. You will need to refill a few times, many times to feel a buzz. But it sure does taste yummy.

I love to get drunk. ;) My sister hates the taste of alcohol, too. I have a great recipe though it makes a lot (I use it for parties):

Lemginade
1 fifth gin (cheap stuff works fine!)
1 2ltr Sprite (or your favorite clear soda-haven't tried it with diet, though)
2 cans frozen lemonade

Mix and get your fix!

That and all the new flavored vodkas are really good. Hubby likes the sweet tea vodka mixed with actual sweet tea. I'm a Bud Light girl but I think both of these drinks are good! Finally a post I can comment on! :)

Miss Tia! I am sorry babe but any kind of mint de anything sounds sickening! Like thick medicine! LOL... *gags*

The Cheesecake Factory has a drink with iced tea, lemonade and vodka. I think they rimmed the glass with sugar. My mom encouraged me to order one at lunch, after a particularly crappy day. She drove home. Perked me right up!

I've made one at home with Honest brand peach tea and vodka. Smooth.

If you want some cool vodka recipes for holiday parties, check out Cirrus Vodka. It's made in Virginia and they have superb recipes. It's the best Vodka I have ever tasted and the "mixologist" has created delicious drinks.

I think a few of you live in the Washington, DC area...you can buy it at Virginia ABC stores. Trust, it's yummy.

SharnaPax, you didn't even sound grouchy..lol. And Tia was right, in the dark you can't see the cords. It looked nice around here last night.

Thanks to everyone for the drink suggestions.

Sweet tea and vodka is known as a Ice Pick in bartender land. lol. The lemonade splash does sound yummy.

Malibu rum and pineapple juice is good. You can't taste the alcohol...goes down smoooooooth. Peach schnapps and orange juice is another good combo.

Clarabel, I always put up some lights for her, she's too old to do it. I don't mind, I just get tired of the old broken crap. Geeeez, go to the dollar store, ya know?

You're a good person for taking care of your mom, even though she has been horrible, and will probably continue to be, to you.
Momof4, my thoughts exactly. Why not do a little bit of decorating on the roofless house with that old set of lights?
Sorry I don't have any suggestions for a drink. I hardly ever do anymore, as the line between feeling really good and feeling really bad is so paper-thin for me now. I wish I could drink more, I could use the distraction, but it's just not worth how I can end up feeling in a heartbeat. :::sigh:::
