Wow. I'm a boomer, and I don't remember that one. My sister had chatty cathy, though. I always thought that doll looked dead. Oh, well. . . good luck trying to sleep, eh?
I am old too! I remember her. I still have my Sister Belle doll from my childhood. As a kid I cut all her hair off so this Summer when I ran across her I for some reason decided I needed one with hair. Like others trying to buy back their childhood, got one off eBay. This Laugh A Lot doll is just creepy.
Man did wiskey and camel cigs come with lsd back in the 60s? Because that is one FREAKY doll. That thing would be locked up in the attic or in a landfill. Its not even cute, silly or fun. Maybe the devil corporation made this one with the blood of yuppy advertisers.
The girls whipping their heads around to the camera with stunned looks was really weird. It didn't convey what I think they wanted to. I think that's were The Exorcist got the idea for Linda Blair.

What a diabolical laugh. Reminded me of "Chucky". Creepy!

Freaky, freaky, freaky! Is her name Tina by any chance? LOL. She is not as ugly as my doll "Little Miss No Name" though.
that did NOT scare me. It made me laugh. It was funny, not scary. Cheesy as hell.

PS: How many parents do you think hid the batteries after the 1st day? LOTS!!! hahahahahahahahahaha...
This commercial is hilarious. I love the way the girls whipped around to hear the doll laughing. Too freakin' funny, totally campy.
I have Chatty Cathy! She's so cute. Brig, that Little MIss No Name is worth a ton.
Todays version would be a Rachel Ray doll.

Those little girls swinging their heads around with crazy looks on their faces scared me more than the doll!
LOL escrow. Complete with a little bottle of EEVO.
That doll is frickin' scary. No wonder dolls freak me out. It reminds me of Robert the Doll and the scary clown in Poltergeist. Frick!!!
