I saw a couple of episodes of this last night, hmm, I didn't even know I got that channel..anyway, her real life is probably interesting, but, instead I saw contrived situations and the eternal battle against fat..and it's clear she's lost again. Yeah, she's fat, so what? She's funny and honest and she lives in a huge wacky mansion with her kids and dogs and a ton of Lemurs (wtf?) and a shit load of nutty people who wait on her all day. She has stylists, maid-cooks, assistants, apprentices, handy men, animal trainers...and it's crazy. She seems to have a lot of money for someone who hasn't worked in awhile and the show intrigues me. Hopefully, I'll get to see more of the real Kirstie and her genuinely big life without the hoopla the network thinks we want.*
Sometimes I think it would be nice to be rich and have a mansion, but, how does she actually live with all those people all day? It's like some crazy commune. And I really wish someone would tell the creator of this show that I don't care if she's fat. Fat is not that interesting. But, she might be. You can watch it on You Tube. house / do your own gardening/ cook your
own meals / wash the dishes / dogs / lemers/
basically all that outsourcing of domesticity
is where all your extra calories could have been

satisfacation of doing for yourself and the side

hey, my hubby had a press junket at that house! he worked with her on cheers way back when. anyway, he said the house was a mess and just falling apart at the seams. he described it as the "Adams Family house". that's all I got out of him, he finds all of this gossip stuff so boring and wouldn't talk about it anymore.bima

I like Kirstie. She's funny and seems fun. I think she needs a big support system for w/e her decisions might be. She is not a loner. I also think she's gorgeous and with that 90 pounds off could give any other actress in Hollywood a run for their money! Hope she can do it, I have my doubts. And, yea...where the hell does she get money? "Cheers" reruns? I am serious. thats all she has. Who can afford all that help? Wow! Nice house tho. It may need repairs but it's worth millions. And she has a guy doing the work. I think she takes things pretty slow. Is that the house she had with Parker Stevenson? Hubba-hubba!!! Her kids are beautiful. Adopted yes, but gorgeous. And damn lucky they didnt inherit her fat-gene.

Ok, she is fat. Ruby's show is more interesting because Ruby is a sweet heart. Anyway, she was great on Cheers but now she looks like a transvestite. I cannot even look at her face anymore. And did anyone check to see if her two teens are on the show and/or listed as producers. I am sure if they are acting on this and/or shown as producing, they are pulling in a paycheck. Interesting to see that these two kids were kept quiet all these years and now they have to be put in the public eye for this crapola.

I think maybe to keep her mind off her own issues. I agree, if she did clean her own house maybe she would lose weight. But how many movie/TV Stars do you think clean their own homes? And how many fat housewives do we all know? Being fat has nothing to do with doing housework etc. It's the shit she eats! We all do it at times. She must be addicted to sugar or something. I also was in disbelief when the scales said 230 lbs. I was thinking way higher!

I haven't watched the show, but I've watched other shows with her, and just kind of like her quirky personality. The bubbly craziness, with a little bit of craftiness mixed in. One show I watched was a make-over of her kitchen. It wasn't bad in the first place, but they did a nice job on the re-do.
It is so hard for me to reconcile that someone like her, that I enjoy, could be a part of Scientology. I think of them as one of the most hard-core bad influences.
I don't know where she gets all her money for that entourage, either. All I can imagine is that she was well-paid by Jenny Craig, and she probably did some successful producing of something.
I just watched all the episodes...she is so funny, and open, and determined to get a bunch of that fat off. Great kids too.
I think she would be a great neighbor. Scientology never even comes up.

Hubs and I watch this show. She makes me laugh. She always has. We laughed when she had that show Fat Actress.

I'm in my 50's, and every time I look in the mirror I wonder why the fat just sticks like that. When I was young my weight never went up, up, up. And if I gained a couple of pounds they could come off so easily. I am slowly losing the weight, but gosh I hate that mirror right now!
I can really relate to her obsession with her weight. She owns that she ate herself there. Remember, she's an actress and is on the front pages of magazines whether she wants to be or not.

If u check her work record, she has never NOT been working. She even has a movie out this year. A minot character I'm sure, but I don't see her hiding in a corner in any movie! She had 67 episodes of Veronicas Closet, which still runs and was a good show! She has always worked, fat or not. She makes the cash to support herself and apparently enough to supposrt all her employees! Jeesh! I love her. Always have. Ever since "V-Jer" in the very 1st Star Trek movie! She had all of Hollywood on it's knees back then.
I didn't remember that she was in the first Star Trek movie. I'll have to go look at that.
