Me, too, Pat. Wherever I look---clutter. That is one gorgeous bedroom, Valle! I love the wall colors with black and white on the bed! I'm going to use this as inspiration to clean up today. Not my favorite thing to do---not anywhere in the top twenty or thirty, even, but I've decided I'm in charge of what this house is like, and some changes are going to be made. Wish me luck.
Love the color! yeah i whenever get my room looking all nice it's an instant invitation for two boys to come jump on the bed and drag out a bunch of toys strew them all over the place. makes me nuts. So we have started a toy donation box. The conversations they have about each toy to go into the box is really funny. "is this a baby toy?" "someone will like this toy if they have the other pieces" I will sneak that one into the trash.
Valle it looks lovely and serene. The wall colour is utterly beautiful ! Like the crystal clear calm turquoise seas of the carribbean. Great job ! Enjoy it ! Kiki :)
thanks ladies! Believe me , I should have taken a "before" picture to show you what it used to look like. 9 years of stashing clutter! I cried ,bled, got bruises, yelled and starved while doing it. All of that on top of bitching that no one is helping!
It looks great Valle, I love the Deco feeling you've got going there. The bold black & white pattern with the turquoise & the dark wood is really striking.
And yeah, clutter. Doesn't matter if I sweep, vacuum and mop, with that much forest debris that gets tracked in here by the people and the critters, everything goes to shit again in five minutes. And the cat likes to fling litter everywhere, so that doesn't help. I give up!
I luv it Valle. I need to really, really, really dig into my bedroom and trash, OMG, sooooo much crap. I'm now inspired, I'm trying to picture your 'before' pic, looking like my b/r looks now! i'm like Pat, that would last all of about a few hrs. before I (and the pets) started messing it up.
If nothing else, you bedroom should be tranquil and peaceful (and not cluttered and messy). It's the one place where you should be able to close the door and feel totally at peace. These colors are just beautiful - it should be an inspiration to everyone who is unhappy with their messy bedroom.
my daughter did her last 2 rooms in turquose, with black & white also. She also has a touch of hot pink in there I think. She's getting ready to move again. She already has her colors for her rooms chosen. She likes bright too. When she was really little and her alcoholic father would make so depressed she would be the light of my sad day when she would tell me "Mommy, be bright!"...so I always think thats just her way of being bright! All the time, in her life. I love this room too. I know it's a bitch to redecorate and be painting or hanging wallpaper at 2:00 a.m. after working all day and getting little to no help at all. The having to get up for work the next day! Gawd, women are hard workers!! All Day & all night too! Go girls! xoxo rox
Look at Valle's new bedroom. I love that wood and the wall color. Great job! My house would stay that clutter free for about, oh, an hour.

I do wish you luck. I cleared out all the dishes I don't use and put them out on trash day. My mom took them. Like she doesn't have enough shit.
