Aaliyah Braybrook was alone with two children when a fire broke out. The fire burned down the mobile home they were in and also damaged the neighbors mobile home. But, Aaliyah managed to get both the kids out safely and even saved the family pet, then she called 911. Now the neighbors insurance company is blaming it all on the 12 year old babysitter, saying one of the kids started the fire and she was too young to be babysitting. They have a claim against her for $350,000. Are you kidding me? What mobile home do you know that's worth that? And how is any of this her fault? She's a hero. Insurance companies are the devil..pay the GD claim, you assholes.

As someone who was farmed out at age 12 to raise six kids alone, I can only imagine how this girl feels. Talk about used up. GD insurance companies, you pay and pay only to have them not pay...and try and ruin some kid's life. Bastards.

Isn't that friggin' crazy??? My husband (an adjustor in Edmonton...not for that insurance company, but the way) says that these suits happen daily but 99% of them are thrown out of court before they make it to the media.
My daughter is nearly 12 and I'm really scared to let her babysit, and just because of this. What if she goes to change a diaper and one of the other kids burns the house down..she'll get her ass sued off! A situation like that could easily happen to me, and I have 3 kids and plenty of experience by now. Kids just do things, it only takes a split second.
I feel so sorry for the young lady in the story, she did nothing wrong...in fact, she saved the kids and the family pet from the fire :( .
Oh...and that news story says that the neighbours are sueing the babysitter, but it's actually the neighbour's insurance company that brought on the lawsuit. Law says that the suit has to be in the insurance company's name, not the insured's name.
But yeah, still: this is just all around stupid, fuck insurance companies (just not my husband's).
Crabbie your site sucks for commenting!!! Dayum! Here's my comment about your last post and Insurance companies got the same bailouts as the bankers. Now they wanna fuck a 12 year old for a dilapated old trailer. OMFG! They all should get hit by lightening. Crabbie here! And fix that damn comment thing please.
The trading floor on Wall Street has always amazed me. Pure, uncensored, chaos. I don't get it, I don't get the yelling and waving your pencil, clammoring all over each other with little bits of paper & scribbles and how that makes things happen and causes changes in our world. Don't get it. It's f'g chaos, man. Just a metaphor for the world really. Like you said, but to me, nothing is an accident. This wasn't and neither was that new oil spill. It's all about money. Lives lost? Yes, but big deal, look at all the money we will be making off this "accident". Profits soar for oil companies when an accident occurs. Ain't no accident. Hitting a B instead of an M aint no accident either. Fat Finger Trade my ass. BS!!!
Damn insurance companies. You know my feelings about them with all we went through about my husband's short-term disability at work. We had complete documentation that he was supposed to be off work, and that he was under medical care from two providers who both said that he required further care before return to work, but they refused to pay for over three months. It's criminal. I don't care if they write it into the contracts that they can send cases out for further review, it shouldn't take that long, and they KNEW it! Bastards. They have us all and they know it. Insurance companies are the real evil in our society. That little girl is a heroine, she saved lives.
you pay into them and then they do everything possible to avoid paying a claim! they will drop you if you file claims sometimes....they are out of control!!!
FUCK INSURANCE COMPANIES!!!!
and i agree, crabbie's commenting system sucks!
Agreed. Now where are all the fucking child advocates who are worrying about 8 half-Asian rich brats? Someone help this kid fast.
WerneyGirl ~ too bad you got the name wrong. STFU troll.
Case was just dropped due to 'public pressure' lol. They should have said, 'case was dropped due our incredible stupidity in opening it in the first place'.
I feel so bad for that girl. It's amazing that she saved the children and even the pet. She should get a medal, not this crap from the insurance company.
Insurance companies are scum. Always trying to blame the victim, always trying to think of a way the victim could be at fault even when there's really no possible way. They have no souls.
Insurance companies are scum. Someone insurance adjuster and lawyer were probably planning on getting a bonus out of it.
And EXACTLY DD what trailer is worth $350K even with all the stuff in it! What was it filled with a "Housewives of" one episode of wardrobe?
