My jaw about hit the floor when I opened these photos from Nancy. The first one is an owl watching a comet speed through the sky. The second one is "Dolphin Dance" and the last one is "Two Tails." Those are from Nancy's scuba and snorkling trip. Those photo's are frickin' AMAZING and they blew me away!

i don't have an owl around here....have a hawk, but no owl.....
I was on an owl rescue mission for awhile and I had several who lived with me. I never got a photo like that though. Amazing!
Those are truly amazing pictures, Nancy!!!!
The diving ones are great---I would be too terrified to do anything like that---you rock!!
The owl picture is absolutely astounding---how did you get that??
Whoa is right! Great photos.
Wow Nancy great pictures. Love the swimming with dolphins. I bet it was so calming.
Those are really cool!!
The owl picture represents one of the most magically evenings I've ever had. We were camping in Montana and I heard the owl for an hour before I could see him. He was very vocal and sounded very close by. Once I finally saw him, he looked right back at us and did not fly away to a higher perch. It had been raining pretty hard about 20 minutes before I got this picture and we almost decided not to build a fire to sit around. Boy am I glad we did, otherwise I would have missed the owl and the comet. It was just great luck that I got the shot with both. I took a few other pics of the owl but they are very blurry and one that is clearly in focus only features his backside, as the owl swiveled around to check the nest with his mate and babies in another tree much higher up.
Dolphin Dance was taken in Bimini, where there is a pod of dolphins that loves to play with snorklers. They don't like the noise from the air bubbles from scuba divers so when we saw them we ditched the air tanks and dove off the boat. They played with the 6 of us for about 30 minutes. It was a totally amazing experience. Spatially, they know right where our bodies were in relation to theirs and were so careful and gentle. They are truly telepathic, IMO.
The Two Tails pic I took on the Big Island in Hawaii where there are 3 different pods of spinner and spotted that are very inquisitive towards humans and seek out small boats for contact with people. In 26 yrs as a scuba diver I have only had one other encouter with dolphins that seemed to seek out humans. That happened in Cayman Brac and it was a juvenile male that was all alone, which is extremely unusual. The dive master told us that this juvenile had been hanging out in the same area for nearly 2 months. They believed that he had not been born wild (he knew tricks that humans must have taught him) and there were no pods of dolphins known in that area. They contacted many countries to see if they could nail down where he had come from without any success. I found out a many months later that he had stayed around for another 6 weeks and then one day was just gone, never to appear again.
Wow great shots!

I love the dolphin dance and think it should be blown up and framed.
It has a soothing effect!
The photograph of the owl is mind-blowing and the dolphins are just dreamy, thanks for sharing. Bima
