Shrek glasses from McDonald's...they contain Cadmium, that same poison that's in China's kid's jewelry. There's 12 million of them out there. If you have these, throw them away. They are especially dangerous to children.

You people are wimps. My mom used to spoon-feed me cadmium and it had absolutely no adverse effects. Well, other than my liver growing legs and crawling out through my ass. But I managed to shove it back in and it works just fine.
You can return the glasses to McDonald's and get a refund. Of course that doesn't help anyone who has been using the glasses and ingesting the Cadmium :-(
We need to ban imports from China. Seriously. This is just corporate greed rearing its ugly pinhead again. Whomever said it was difficult to boycott Chinese merchandise was certainly right. I've been working on that for some time, and sometimes it is simply impossible to boycott all Chinese-produced items. We are far too dependent on the profits we make on their merchandise. The Chinese simply do not care about individual lives. All they care about is climbing over each others' bodies to make a profit. The husband of someone I work with does machining. He has not been able to get any significant contracts for several years. He decided his biggest competition was China, so he went there to see how they do things, and what he could do to improve his chances. He found out it is impossible to compete with them, as they have factories with two levels. The workers live on one level and work on the other. It is their whole life, and they are paid very little for their work. Impossible to compete with, and no freedom or life for their people. . . and this is who we do business with.

The Cadmium can be absorbed through the skin as well as swallowed. It's a known carcinogen as well as causing extensive liver damage.
and walmart pulled jewelry for kids with it but kept the jewelry for adults with it! it is harmful to EVERYONE.....

ahhhh! i have those but we never drank from them. we collect glasses like that, well we did.
Don't these companies that buy these things at least check them out for chemicals and stuff before they send them out to the public?
