Wanna see Bob and Courtney Novograt's house? I did, so I googled it. OMG, I had no idea it was that big, on the show you don't see all of it. It has six levels, some of them cantilevered to deliver a different view, balconies, gardens, more bathrooms than I can count, an entire floor devoted to the master, closets bigger than my living room and an indoor basket ball court! Holy mackerel. You can take a look HERE. This house is for sale, I wonder what they'll build next???

Who is this? I didn't look at the pics. Too f'g depressing. People with that much money just kind of ruin my day, sorry. I hate it so much. But probably doing something illegal to get it. So, there ya' are!

They have such creativity. I do not possess a creative bone in my body. I can't even do scrapbooking. It ends up looking like a 4 year old did it.
Thanks for the link. It was nice to look at their place without the camera constantly switching angles on us.
It wouldn't be my cup of tea (Where would the coop and birds go?) But they certainly have some interesting/intriguing pieces of furniture. It is furnished in a very spare manner, but it works. Very cute picture of the little one in the coat area.
Thank you for sharing that Pat. There place is way bigger then you see on the show!
I know, sometimes when I watch the show my attention will be caught by some art piece and then the camera angle changes. It's frustrating. That big grey whale thing is a desk, now I can see how it works.
I'd really like to see more of the hotel they showcased on the finale show.
Really liked that multi-storied home - the openess and the bold colors are really striking - but I can't wrap my head around having 7 kids with all those floors/stairs, etc. That being said, their homelife seems to work just fine.
Looking forward to next season and seeing whether they sell the house or not (think they'll put in an elevator?).
Is that the bathtub in the second picture...the big white thing...I thought it was the sink...but....cripes...I don't know....
OMG- MUCHO GRACIAS!!
Now I will take the tour and then read the comments. What fun :)
Wow -- that tour was really very cool! I agree, when watching the show I see something that is so interesting and the next second the camera's out of range and I've missed it and it is frustrating.
The deck, deck furniture and the view are amazing. I had no idea the home was this large even though I knew that it was 6 levels.
On the epi last night wasn't cool that the basketball picture was made out of basketballs?
I love the chandelier in the closet. DD, did you take the tour of the kitchen? In case you didn't here is the link:

The chandelier in there is so whimiscal and adorable!! Let me know if you like.
The big grey whale thing/desk is that where the white MAC laptop is or did I miss it?
So, I have only seen 2 epi's ...is the season almost over? Also, I love the picture that you posted yesterday for open posts. How is AZ chunks of your life coming along?
DD,
What is Summerland. I remember you mentioning twice and I meant to ask you before. I tried to look it up but was not successful.
You can check out their other projects on their main site:

Nancy, the season is over but Bravo is notorious for playing show episodes over and over again. Especially right before the new season. They will usually play a marathon of the previous season.
Hi Shelton,
Thanks! I came back to ask DD where the summer house is? I did not know about that.
Nancy B- Thanks for the link.
Enjoyed it.
Heidi- I feel vindicated!!!
Courtney likes IKEA:)
That view is to die for!!!!
Yep that's a bathtub in that second pic. The big grey fiberglass desk is featured on the site I posted. I wondered about that thing all season. It's pretty cool.
I'm not sure where the country house is, it looked like The Hamptons. They use it for storage too. It old and big and full of hip antiques.
Vicki, yeah! Courtney and Bob dig Ikea, Pier 1, rummage sales and yard sales. They believe you can make any elements that appeals to you work. They put old junk store stuff in that new hotel. It looked awesome.
After looking at my friend's 9 year old girl's warm and inviting room, wallpapered with wild horses on one wall, and stripes painted on the rest of the room, all the kid's choice, and then looking at those photos....The view is about the only thing I like about that house...that house looks too much like an art gallery owned by someone with extreme OCD, and not like a home, I miss the natural chaos brought by young kids. Makes me sad and cold looking at it :(
For a creative family such as them, I would expect a playroom resembling a colorful workshop for the kids, not a lonely crib in the middle of the empty room or a plaything strategically placed for deco purposes, it's drepressing :(
No likey, sorry :(
I am pretty sure I heard them say their country house was in CT. So it could be in Fairfield County..mucho mucho money. I cant even afford to drive down the streets! Hop skip and a train ride back to Manhattan.
Ohhh -- I see now about the grey whale--I saw it last night and for the life of me could not tell what the hell it was. I thought it waas a huge object art--hahaha. A desk--these folks are loaded with talent. I can't wait for repeats.
