This guy named John Wisor bought this old home in Davenport and he covered it with graffiti to piss off his neighbors and protest the Historic Preservation Commission's decision to NOT allow him to tear down this home. I almost didn't read this, this stuff goes on all the time here and while I am a fan of the old homes, I know some of the historic society's rules are just nuts. It's his house, let him level it. Oh, but, wait, this dude has bought a lot of these old properties, not just this one. And he's planning on making condos with retail outlets on the ground floor out of them. He's basically trying to turn a historic neighborhood into a "strip mall" for profit. What a giant A-hole.

Wisor claims the house isn't save-able with the busted plumbing, roof problems, rot, etc. What really hit me with this one was, he actually took the supports out of the basement and then hired a worker to "accidentally" hit the side of this house with a tractor..not once, but 15 times!! He was hoping the house would just "fall in" and solve his problem. But, it didn't, it's still standing straight and tall. Man, they built those things in the old days. I'm glad they aren't letting him get away with this. It's sad when these old places have to be destroyed, but, sometimes it makes sense. Not this time. Go find some other way to make a buck, Mr. Wisor.

what an asshole....may he be haunted by those who's homes he needlessly tore down.....
I hope he spends the after life in a mini mall. I'd take that house, crap plumbing and all.
From what I can see of it, it looks like a nice old place. Too bad that an asshole like him was able to buy it.
What a shame for that town. So much history is lost when those houses are torn down.
where i'm from in iowa they tore down 75% of all the old historic homes for parking lots!!!! sickening!!!
what a dick.
