Not much going on today, though I got a huge laugh out of Mel Gibson's latest line.."You should just fucking smile and blow me." I'm going to use that a lot. What's up?

Work being done on the apartment below me. Hammering since 9 this morning. Are they putting in a whole new fucking floor? What the shit?

Anon, something like that happened to me a few years ago. Slumlord apartment in West Hollywood. Downstairs neighbor Jeffrey Dahmer type. He moved out and the owner fumigated without telling other tenants. The little actress girl woke up next door with bugs crawling across her! Needless to say, she did not come back, just got up and left her apartment! Had a hose washing the roaches down the stairs. Total Scumbag landlord! Took her to court numerous times and won! Paid 362 bucks a month for 2 years! Moved out after we hoarded some money!

4:45:00 PM..OMG, holding a kid underwater?? What? OMFG.

Roaches..yeah. They do travel when someone exterminates. A friend of mine found that out when a skanko got evicted next door. Oh, they are so gross. Hey, get some of those bug granuals that are sold in the big bags. Any brand will do and throw them around the outside of your house. It really helps.

Dirty Disher said...

Sole, Mel is gross and he reminds me of every redneck dude I know. But, "smile and blow me" cracked me up.

Anonymous said...

the outdoor granules are those safe for critters??? i think my 2 dogs would probably eat them....ugh....

yeah, holding the kid under water to shut him up....he's 2 and was sunburnt and hungry and she was smacking him so hard my teeth hurt...then she threw him in the pool and was holding him under water....

Mel is completely batshit insane. How about the part where he threatens to bury Osksana in the rose garden? That's awfully specific-has he done that before or something? Hmm...

I have three appointments at the hospital this week so they can look at my heart. It's been going 160 beats a minute when I get stressed. But I'ms ure they will say there is nothing wrong. That is what they always say. Nobody takes me seriously ever.

Oh and I have to take care of my grandma all week and all last week because my mom's away. I am really tired. My stupid sister thinks she has done her part because she took our grandma to Wal-Mart yesterday. My sister is obsessed with Wal-Mart. What a trashy place to be obsessed with.

My baby sister is visiting from NC. She is 20 years younger (17). I look at her sometimes and think that I could be her mother. Then I remember she's my sister and I say special thanks. I can send her home on Wednesday!!!! She's high maintenance, high drama, high emotions nonstop, 24/7. I am trying to send her off to visit relatives these last couple of days just to get some sanity back.

I love her but am glad these visits only happen once a year.

Anon (i am pretty sure I know who you are..cherry woman??)..Roaches fucking suck!
We had them in an apartment when Chelsea was like 3 years old. We only stayed there for six months. Every once in awhile I still have nightmares about that place.

I went to the foot dr today cause my heels have been bothering me..I mentioned it before. It is that long assed name I mentioned. He told me ice it, ibuprofen, stretches when I wake up, and Eastern Mountain Sports has an orthotic for like $35. The custom made ones..$300! ROFL
I would rather have the cortisone shots in my heels then pay $300!

I soldier on though with my walking. Two miles today and up two big hills. We go in the mornings when the humidity is much less. I still sweat like a whore in church.

The garden is good. We harvested garlic today. It is the hard neck kind, Kiki. We cannot braid it.
A few of the tomatoes had blossom rot. Not all though...so far so good. I have been squishing mexican bean beetles off of my yellow squash plants. Yellow bastards!!

I am tired..it has been a long day.

Oh anon..I am sorry about you car. That sucks major rocks! (((big hugs)))

I began practicing yoga daily on February 25th of this year. Today I reached my weight loss goal of 30 pounds. Woot and Namaste!

Yoga changed my life. I was in a really bad place when I found a "karma" yoga studio. It is donation-based, so when you can pay you do, when you can't you don't. I will turn fifty in August and have the body of a teenager (well, except for the saggy boobs.)

I hope to whoever that Social Services pay a visit to your neighbor, anon. I can't imagine what restrain you must have had to not jump over the fence and hurt that bitch for good. It makes me sick and so fucking mad. Smacking a child senseless to the point that it hurt your teeth watching it?!??! Sunburned and hungry?!?! Holding that 2 year old under water to shut him up?!?!?

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS WORLD?????????????

I wish I could have a few minutes with her, by myself. That is all it would take.

Is this the first time you have had to call children services? And why does she only visit? Does the father or partner have custody? If so, where were they?????????

Anonymous said...

she only visits her mom because her mom has an above ground pool.....

if any of you are on my fb, i have a video of her fighting with her bf 'what i hear on a nice quiet day'.....her bf (or husband i dunno) works and she's with the kids 24/7 and he's yelling "you hate the kids, you can't stand them" and she doesn't dispute it, she says nothing!!! apparently my neighbor heard the bf threaten to kill the kids....i didn't hear that.....

but yes, i did wanna jump over the fence and beat her with a shovel and toss her fat ass in the pool....i think if she shows up the next couple days---suppose to get hot again---i'll just call the cops right away.....it's ridiculous and her mother just sits there and watches!!!!

that poor little 2 year old getting beat and held under water because he was hungry, hot and sunburned.....

FUCK CHILD ABUSERS!!!!!!!!

It was a long and tense day at work. I stayed until about 8:30, so that means 13 hours, many of which were action-packed and scary.
The weather is beautiful. It has really cooled off, and I am off for the next three days.
My husband went back to work today. Essentially he has been off since sometime last August. Of course it couldn't go smoothly. He worked about five hours, then they figured out he didn't have a written release from the doctor in hand, and so they sent him home. He has an appointment tomorrow, after which he will return to work. (I hope.)
Anon, it really sucks that your car is being repo'd tomorrow.
Other anon---I know who you are, but of course I will keep my mouth shut. Awful that you live next to someone who abuses kids like that. I just feel a kind of fury when I read your description of what went down. I hope the cops do intervene, and that there is enough evidence to make her life hell. I am very glad you care enough to call them.
Over the past few years we have had a little herd of deer that hang out on the other side of our fence, in the cemetary, but they haven't been around recently. Tonight my husband and I saw two, but of course the doggies had to bark until they ran away.
I'm worn out, so I'm going to call it a night. Sweet dreams, everyone.

I watched that video Anon.

Plantar fascia is what my foot problem is called and it is quite common. I will do my stretches and hope for the best. The stretches actually make my feet hurt but I guess that is the point..LOL right?

Hey Pat, how does your garden grow?

I had to walk around with the hose yesterday and give all of my bushes and ornamentals and good long drink of water. We have not had substantial rain in awhile. I need to dig out my sprinkler thingy and water the grass.
My hydrangea was saggy but this morning it is back to looking like it is supposed to be.

Alison, i know what you mean about the docs not taking you seriously. Mom has that total body ache going on again...so bad that she got in the bed Saturday evening and just got out yesterday eve and got right back in it. But the docs can find nothing wrong....wtf. Be sick all your life and they don't know...die and they can tell you what's wrong in five friggin minutes.

Heidi, 1 tbls of epsom salt dissolved in a gallon of water will prevent blossom rot.

I have such a bad cold. My head feels like it's going to explode every time cough.

Christina said...

You can also use egg shells to prevent blossom end rot. Just save some and bury them in the ground around your tomato plants. It's an old remedy I read about, and it has worked for me. I'll be burying some today, as I forgot when I planted my tomatoes a couple of days ago.

Anonymous said...

egg shells by tomato plants also leach calcium into the soil and thus into the plant....

Peg said...

That's what the epsom salt does. It enables the plants to uptake calcium. I've heard that there's no way egg shells will break down in time to provide calcium to the plants unless you grind them up very fine in a blender. Or you can crush up Tums (3 per plant) and work them into the soil. Bone meal will also work.

Daphne-you said: "Be sick all your life and they don't know...die and they can tell you what's wrong in five friggin' minutes."

That is a great quote. It's so sadly true!

Christina said...

I don't know about the grinding them up being the only way it really works, part. . . all I can tell you is that I had blossom-end rot every year, virtually every tomato. No plant was exempt. I buried eggshells in the areas around my tomatoes for the last two years, and no blossom-end rot at all. Not in one single instance. I planted in the same areas, even. It really surprised me how well that worked.
