Who gave their word here? Why are THEY speaking for so many?

Pastor Terry Jones says he has no plans to burn the Koran on 9/11, right now. He thinks imam Mohammed Musri has given him his word that if he calls off the burning, they will move the mosque near ground zero. But, Musri claims he never promised that. Musro claims he doesn't have that power, iman Raulf does. Well, Terry Jones didn't call off the book burning, he just said there are no plans "right now."

"I am glad that Pastor Jones has decided not to burn any Korans," Rauf said in a later statement to CNN, before adding: "We are not going to toy with our religion or any other. Nor are we going to barter.

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono lashed out anew against Jones and his tiny evangelical denomination, located in Gainesville, Florida, a day after calling on US President Barack Obama to intervene.

"I'm of course aware of the reported cancellation of the deplorable act by Terry Jones. However, none of us can be complacent until such a despicable idea is totally extinguished," he said.

I dunno about you, but, they're starting to piss me off now. This is no small news article about a tiny radical pastor anymore, violence has already started over it. And more is threatened. You can't be complacent? Yeah, you fucking can. You can ignore it. You're not going to toy with your religion? We're ALL toys in your fucking religion. Terry Jones has proven his point.

I hate to think of all the lives he has put in jeopardy by doing this.

Yeah, but, when you think about it, why should Terry Jones have that power? He doesn't speak for me or you. The story was put in my path for a reason. It made me see.

I agree that he doesn't think for us, but I don't think Muslims feel that way.
I believe they hate America and honestly don't need any excuse at all to attack us, but this gives them all the more reason to attack us, maybe a justification of sorts.

i think we should burn a koran, a torah and a bible just to be all inclusive....

I think we shoud take all religious leaders and put them on an island and they can duke it out. It could be like survivor only the winner knows god. The rest of us can go about our business without anymore fear.

Yes something as stupid as burning paper shouldn't have these kinds of consequences.

But they do! That's just the world we live in. We need to keep telling them they are wrong to be so insecure about their religion. But we also need to flipping understand that our actions have consequences and not put our troops in more danger!!!

Miss Tia I agree with you. Burn them all ... isn't that what equality is about?

This is a vicious cycle that spans generations and bequeaths money to whomever holds a position of power on either side.

The world sends billions of dollars worth of aid to Muslim countries that never reaches the public. The Imams stir up the congregation with just a mention of the evil American feeding the Jew, and the moral obligation of every Muslim to wage a personal Jihad against the Infidel.

If you can't fight; send money. It's that easy for them to give you an option as to how you want to wage the personal jihad that guarantees you a place in Heaven.

Meanwhile tolerance, compassion, understanding and charity for fellow man is seen as weakness. Just look at how the women are treated. Or mis-treated.

I refuse to stand up for the freedom of people who's main objective is to take my freedom away. It's been niggling at me for years. Now, I'm just done. I don't want them bulding anything here anymore.

Why have they given this man so much publicity? Just to please the media's sick desire for controversy? If he didn't get all the publicity, if this wasn't all over the news, if they had, you know, ignored him, we wouldn't be worrying about the fate of our men. He's a fucking nobody, who's speaking for his three and a half followers, not for the rest of us. Why are they making his voice, my voice?

I agree. he's a man, 1 single man in a very small church in a Florida USA town. Why does he all of a sudden matter so much? Or at all? Why is he even relevant? How can he have more power than senators & lawmakers to get that mosque moved? He cannot actually believe he HAS that power, does he? Seriously? Donald Trump couldn't even get it moved. This guy is a total nobody, in anyones estimation. Now he's suddenly flying to NYC to meet with the Iman? Is David Bowie going too? J/K...But I wouldnt get in the same plane with this crazy man and he should be in fear of his life foreber & a day! Yea, they will exstinguish the threat alright. This guy is a dead man walking! His family & church members should be very afraid as well. Somebody's gonna die down in Fla over this. Lets just see what happens. This story is stupid. The news should just ignore his ass instead of giving him more power. His ass is grass.

The people he has enraged have no fear of dying, they are not going to care who they kill to get to this man. Oh, its gonna happen. There are many in a long line waiting to martyr themselves for this.

I betcha we can't build a Baptist church over there, now can we? They do not allow personal religious freedom over there. They are intolerant. So, they come here and get accepted and we have to accept them? WTH? Just stay there, we'll stay here. Leave us the hell alone. & agreed, do NOT decide something for everyone. Everyone is different. My gawd, he has 50 damn ppl in his church. Who the hell does he think he is? He's a Timothy McVay in reverse. McVay was honest about his reasons for what he did. He was a bad guy & he knew it and didn't care. He did what he thot was correct. & he died for it. This idiot can do that too. Freedom to get killed is more like it. Fine, w/e. Go get urself killed. I am very pissed at this right now.

And when that mosque is built, many Americans have said it will be bombed. Its absolutely going to happen, but we will have to pay taxes so this mosque will be guarded & protected. Will the Mosque be paying taxes? Do other churches? Pfft! It's all a scam, I tell ya. All churches are in business. Thats all.
ALL of them.

I don't understand why people are so upset, saying that because of this one preacher in Florida, our men fighting overseas will die. What the fricken' heck???
Our guys (and women) are dying over there anyway, and why is our freedom here worth so little to you?? Don't you realize that the muslim tactic here is already working? You are willing to abridge that man's right to freedom of speech because a bunch of muslim assholes have made veiled threats. This is incredibly stupid on our part. Any of you who cave to this and try to shush that man up are already the Muslims bitches. You just don't know it yet as you are so busy patting yourselves on the back for being so tolerant of differences and so fricken' PC.
Grow a set and defend your country. It's what those brave men and women of our armed forces are giving their lives to defend. And while we're at it, maybe we need to do a little
more to ensure that taxes are properly spent so that the enlisted won't have to rely on relatives to send them proper boots and other equipment.
Muslims will not win a war in this country by force. They won't have to. They will simply use our laws and our smug PC attitudes to trip us and bring us down. Those fighting for our freedoms deserve a sincere apology for our being asleep at the wheel.

I don't think it's a matter of him having his freedom of doing what he wants to do taken away, or about what he is doing (he can do as he pleases I could care less), it's a matter of why is he getting so much attention in the first place. Why are they giving him so much power when he has none. Why are they making a fricking big deal out of it, when clearly the actions of one man do not represent the rest of us. It's not the man's actions who are endangering anybody, it's the fact that this has been blown to unnecessary proportions by our good friend the media. That's what's pissing me off.

Yes our men (and I say OUR because this country is my home) are dying regardless. But the truth is we don't need anymore BS added to the current war.

It's my belief that the terrorists won the war the moment those planes crashed on 9/11. They won by putting the fear and terror on the Western World. Not only the US.

I agree with you Christina, and I have said it before, Americans do need to grow a pair and start defending your damn home. It's your damn rules and those of us who have come here from other countries need to abide by those rules. It's like if I came to your house and started changing things around without caring about the owner. Same deal. Because of the stupid PC the country is all screwed.

Unknown said...

It just pisses the heck right out of me to see people from my own culture, and from other cultures trying to come to this country to change the rules, knowing that if a 'gringo' came to our country he would be thrown to the lions if he pulled such BS on us. But what's even more upsetting is that the citizens of this country let them get away with it. Then we have those who are LAWFULLY trying to have a better life and are paying taxes, they encounter all kinds of barriers and end up being deported or with notices. Everything is just screwed.

Ugh this just touches a nerve in me. Sorry for the rant.

While you're sending all those muslims back to their countries, where do you plan on sending people like Muhammed Ali?

Plan on shipping all the black muslims back to Africa? While you're at it, how about the black baptists who are against homosexuals?

I do agree with you on a lot of things, Meissa.

I hate that this little man can get so much attention for pretending he will do domething that is disrespectful. But then I see on the news a bunch of muslum countries protesting against the US and burning us in effigy (sorry if I spelled it wrong)and chanting death to usa for something that hasnt happened. . Then I think fuck them camel fucking bitches. Hypocrytes. I feel bad because I wish they would die. Hate to think one american would die for them.

This is very strange, a man from such a small church getting so much attention. It's almost like someone is looking for an excuse, whether it's an excuse to start something or what, I don't know, but I have a feeling there's something we're not seeing just yet.

Actually if we combine Miss Tia's & DD's ideas, we could put all the religious leaders on an island & leave them only their religious books to burn for warmth. Then they can duke it out & see who's books get burnt first. Then they can fight all they like & we don't have to hear about it because CNN won't be there to cover it.

I liked what you said Christina. Good comment.

Sylvia, I have a plan. No, American Muslims won't be sent anywhere. They can still chat with Allah in their home. They just can't organize or build mosques. How about that?

Thanks, Pat.

Vey well said Christina! And DD I am with you, I don't want any more built. They all seem to teach the radical whahbism crap to the little boys and teens and young male adults. Also, last year a group of Arab women sued Harvard for not providing a private gym period twice a day so that men could not see them. I am sick of our laws being used to further their agendas.
