Todays movie

Hedwig and The Angry Inch tells the story of an ‘internationally ignored’ rock singer, Hedwig, and her search for stardom and love. Born a boy named Hansel whose life’s dream is to find his other half, Hedwig reluctantly submits to a sex change operation in order to marry an American G.I. and get over the Berlin Wall to freedom. The operation is botched, leaving her with the aforementioned ‘angry inch’. Finding herself high, dry and divorced in a Kansas trailer park, she pushes on to form a rock band and encounters a lover/protégé in young Tommy Gnosis, who eventually leaves her, steals her songs and becomes a huge rock star.

I've seen this a couple of times and it's time to watch it again. It's a decent film and Hedwig is never boring. HERE is part 1.

I've never seen it, but I have some friends that call it their favorite movie. Guess it's time to give it a whirl!

wow! Drag queens fascinate me. We hit a Drag Queen restaurant/Cabaret in NYC and it was the best time we had in the city! & great Chinese food too! I think they are amazing characters and very brave. Huge personalities.

I have it recorded on my DVR thing. It's one of my favorites! Same directed that just directed Rabbit Hole with Nicole Kidman.

I watched part of it a while ago when Boardwalk Empire was on. Michael Pitt plays a pretty major role in that as Jimmy. I wanted to see some of his other work. I was totally surprised to see him in Hedwig.

Yes DD, I think you would love it. I absolutely love anything set in that time period. It's almost a feeling like I've been there.

I cant wait for the new season to start on BE and True Blood. Have you followed that at all?
